1. Introduction
Thank you for purchasing Harvey’s products. We
believe you will be satisfied with the quality and
performance of our products.
The RT-685 and RT-800 are two router tables
with different table dimensions. Either it can be
installed on the table saw or modified to a
standalone router table by adding a support.
The RT-685 is mainly suitable for the table saws
with the table depth of 27”(685mm); the RT-800 is
mainly suitable for the table saws with the table
depth of 31-1/2”(800mm).
This router table is made of precision ground cast
iron, featuring two T-slots. The table opening size
is 11-3/4” x 9-1/4 ”x 2/5” (298.5x235x10mm),
which can meet the installation requirements of
most router lifts in the market.

When choosing router lift, please pay
attention to that if the table opening size is

3. Safety for Router Table
This attachment works with the router, you
need to comply with the safety rules for using
universal electric tools (refer to the Table Saw
Instruction) and additionally pay special
attention to the following safety precautions：
1. To avoid making contact with the spinning
cutter, never place hands directly over or in front
of the cutter. As one hand approaches the cutter,
move it away and over to the other side. Always
keep hands at least 6" away from the spinning
cutter.
2. Never operate the router table without first
making sure that all lock levers and knobs are
tight, and that all fence hardware and fence rails
are secure. Otherwise, the workpiece can slip out
of alignment while cutting and cause injury from
kickback.
3. Never force materials past the router. Let the
cutter do the work. Excessive force is likely to
result in poor cutting results and will cause
kickback conditions that could cause serious
personal injury.
4. The danger of kickback and injury is increased
when the workpiece has knots, holes, or foreign
objects in it. Warped stock should be run through
a jointer before you run it through the router table.
5. Keep the cutter on the underside of the
workpiece when making blind cuts. This will
decrease the risk of accidental contact with the
cutter.
6. Always feed the workpiece against the rotation
direction of the cutter. Otherwise, the workpiece
could be aggressively pulled from your hands,
drawing them into the spinning cutter.
7. With the router disconnected from power,
rotate the router spindle to test any new setup to
ensure proper cutter clearance before starting the
router.
8. NEVER cut a workpiece without using a fence,
jig, or miter. Otherwise, the workpiece can be
grabbed by the cutter and pull your hands into the
cutter.
9. NEVER use a workpiece shorter than six
inches without special fixtures or jigs. Otherwise,
the workpiece can become trapped between the
fence and cutter, which could draw your hands
into the spinning cutter.
10. Keep any unused portion of the cutter below
the table surface to minimize the risk of making
contact with the spinning cutter with your hands.
11. To prevent amputation or other injuries,
always use a guard. Fabricate additional guards
or jigs for special circumstances. Use an
overhead guard if the fence is removed.
12. To prevent tripping over the router power cord
when operating the table saw, always disconnect
it and safely store it out of the way.

4. Inventory
Please check the contents of the shipping box
with the inventory list below and Fig. 2&3.
Fig.2 is for RT-685;
Fig.3 is for RT-800.
Note: If you cannot find an item on this list, check
the mounting location on the machine or the
packaging materials. Sometimes parts are
pre-installed for shipping, or they become hidden
by packaging materials.

5. Installation
This router table is designed to be installed on a
table saw for use. RT-685 is mainly suitable for
table saws with the table depth of 27 " (685mm).
RT-800 is mainly suitable for table saws with the
table depth of 31-1/2 "(800mm). For different
installation methods or table saw brands, you may
need to drill the mounting holes by yourself and
modify the fence rail to accommodate the use of
the T-slot of the router table.
There are 4 threaded holes of M8-1.25
underneath the table, as shown in Figure 4. You
can also customize a router table stand and
connect the stand with the table by using the 4
threaded holes. The stability of the stand is
essential for your safety. If possible, try to
secure the stand to the floor or to the
woodworking bench.

Please read this chapter thoroughly before
installation.
During installation, you may need to drill mounting
holes for some positions, you can use the
mounting holes on the router table as a template
for marking locations.
Harvey’s table saw is taken as an example to
explain the installation. For the installation of table
saws by other brands, you can refer to this
introduction.
5.1 Installation position
The router table can be installed either on the
right or left side of the saw blade. The installation
position of RT-800 and RT-685 is stated
respectively as followings.
1. Installation of RT-800
(Take Harvey Alpha table saw as an installation
example.)
Installed on the left side of saw blade:Install
the router table to the left extension wing, as
shown in Fig. 5. This installation position requires
you to drill the mounting holes on the side of
extension wing.

Installed on the right side of saw blade:
Replace the extension table of 505mm width with
the router table at the same position.
Fig.6 shows the router table on the table saw with
the 36” fence rail.
Fig.7 shows the router table on the table saw with
the 52” fence rail.

2. Installation of RT-685
(Take Harvey Ambassador table saw as an
installation example.)
Installed on the left side of saw blade:Install
the router table to the left extension wing, as
shown in Fig. 8. This installation position requires
you to drill the mounting holes on the side of
extension wing.

Installed on the right side of saw blade:
For table saw with the 30” fence rail, replace the
extension table with the router table at the same
position, as shown in Fig. 9.
For table saw with the 50” fence rail, modify the
width of extension table into 340mm (or make a
new one), and reinstall it. Install the router table to
the side of the modified or newly made extension
table, as shown in Fig. 10.

5.2 Installation steps
The table saw must be disconnect with the
power before any installation.
1. As shown in Fig. 11, mount the supporting legs
to the router table. Adjust the supporting feet until
the distance between the feet and the router table
is almost as same as the height of the table saw.
Do not lock the supporting feet at this time, so as
to facilitate subsequent adjustment.

2. With the assistance of at least one another
person, turn the table and leg assembly upside
down, connect the router table to the table saw
extension wing and secure them together with
screws, as shown in Fig. 12. Align the router table
and table saw surface, then lock the screws. After
the alignment, lock the supporting feet, so that
they are in contact with the floor.

The hardware supplied with RT-685 & RT800 is
mainly suitable for the installation of Harvey’s
table saws. For other brands of table saws, if the
supplied hardware can not match, you may need
to find the matching hardware or drill the matching
threaded holes. Utilizing the original hardware of
your table saw is a good choice.
RT-685 provides two sets of hardware, please
choose to use as needed.
3. The router table needs to be fixed with the
fence rail if it is installed on the right side of the
saw blade, as shown in Fig. 13.
For Harvey’s table saws, the mounting holes on
the fence rail is matched with this router table. For
other brands of table saw, if you can’t find the
matched holes on the fence rail, you need to drill
the mounting holes by yourself.

4. If the fence rail of your table saw blocks the
T-slots of the router table, you will have to modify
the top of the rails, this entails making a cut-out
that matches or exceeds the dimensions of the
router table T-slot, as shown in Fig. 14.

5. Install the Router Lift
The RT-685 & RT-800 are suitable for most main
brands of Router Lift in the market, the installation
methods is as shown in Fig. 15&16. During
installation, the supplied M6x25 Flat HD Screws
must be used for securing.

When choosing router lift, please pay attention to
that if the table opening size is suitable.
