Fit circlip in bearing housing

Turn around bearing housing

Fit shaft with bearings into bearing

housing

Tap lightly with a soft-headed hammer

Fit second circlip

Fit ball bearing cover

Lubricate thrower with soapy water

and fit it on shaft

Mount second ball bearing cover

at other end

Lubricate second thrower with soapy water

and fit it on shaft

Assembly of mechanical

shaft seal

Lubricate seat and O-ring for stationary

part of seal with soapy water

Fit stationary seal in its seat

in cover for pump housing

Press seal firmly into bottom position

with a soft tool

Mount cover for pump housing on

bearing housing

Keep drain hole for shaft seal downwards

Tighten nuts

Fit protecting sleeve on shaft

Lubricate rotating part of shaft seal

with soapy water

Press shaft seal into bottom position

Fit impeller spacer on shaft

Assembly of stuffing box

Fit O-ring on shaft

Fit sleeve on shaft

Parts for stuffing box

Fit first stuffing box packing in bottom

position in cover for pump housing

Fit lantern ring in cover for pump housing

Fit the last three packings,

openings displaced 90° on all four

Fit studs in cover for pump housing

Fit the two gland halves

Fit nuts loosely

Mount cover for pump housing on bearing

housing, keeping drainhole downwards

Assembly of impeller and

pump housing

Fit impeller key on shaft

Fit impeller

Fit washer

Fit spring washer

Tighten impeller nut

Lubricate O-ring for pump housing and

cover for pump housing with soapy water

Fit O-ring on cover for pump housing

Mount pump housing on

cover for pump housing

Tighten nuts

Apply Loctite to plugs
