The hazard statements are structured in the

Indicates a hazardous situation which, if

not avoided, will result in death or serious

personal injury.

WARNING

Indicates a hazardous situation which, if

not avoided, could result in death or

CAUTION

Indicates a hazardous situation which, if

not avoided, could result in minor or

moderate personal injury.

SIGNAL WORD

Description of hazard

Consequence of ignoring the warning.

- Action to avoid the hazard.

Observe these instructions for

explosion-proof products.

A blue or grey circle with a white graphical

symbol indicates that an action must be

taken.

A red or grey circle with a diagonal bar,

possibly with a black graphical symbol,

indicates that an action must not be taken

or must be stopped.

If these instructions are not observed, it

may result in malfunction or damage to the

equipment.

3. Intended use

3.1 Pumped liquids

The product is suitable for pumping clean, thin,

non-aggressive, non-toxic and non-explosive liquids

without solid particles or fibres.

4. System sizing

The pump is by default set to not stop until it reaches

its maximum pressure.

5. Mechanical installation

5.1 Installation altitude

The installation altitude is the height above sea level

of the installation site.

• Products installed up to 1000 m above sea level

can be loaded 100 %.

• The motors can be installed up to 3500 m above

sea level.

The motor output power (P2) in relation to the

altitude above sea level is shown in the graph below.

This product has been evaluated for use

with clean water only.

Only use the product according to the

specifications stated in these installation

and operating instructions.

If the water contains sand, gravel or other

debris, there is a risk of pump blockage

and pump damage.

Please install a filter on the inlet side or

apply a floating strainer to protect the

pump.

The system in which the CME Booster is

incorporated must be designed for the

maximum pump pressure.

6. Electrical connection

Check that the supply voltage and frequency

correspond to the values stated on the nameplate.

6.1 Cable requirements

See section 13.4 Cable requirements for more

information on cable cross-sections and conductor

types.

6.1.1 Motor protection

The pump requires no external motor protection. The

motor incorporates thermal protection against slow

overloading and blocking, TP 211 according to IEC

34-11.

6.1.2 Protection against mains voltage transients

The pump is protected against voltage transients by

built-in varistors between the phases and between

phases and earth.

- If national legislation requires a

Residual Current Device (RCD) or

equivalent in the electrical installation,

this must be type B or better, due to the

nature of the constant DC leakage

current. The RCD must be marked with

the following symbols:

with the product is in compliance with

local regulations.

- The protective earth of the power outlet

6.2 Standard functional module, FM 200

6.2.1 Inputs and outputs

The module has these connections:

• two analog inputs

• two digital inputs or one digital input and one

open-collector output

• Grundfos Digital Sensor input and output

• two signal relay outputs

• GENIbus connection.

All inputs and outputs are internally separated from

the mains-conducting parts by reinforced insulation

and galvanically separated from other circuits. All

control terminals are supplied with protective

extra-low voltage (PELV), ensuring protection

against electric shock.

6.2.2 Signal relay 1

LIVE: You can connect supply voltages up to 250

VAC to the output.

PELV: The output is galvanically separated from

other circuits. Therefore, you can connect the supply

voltage or protective extra-low voltage to the output

as desired.

6.2.3 Signal relay 2

PELV: The output is galvanically separated from

other circuits. Therefore, you can connect the supply

voltage or protective extra-low voltage to the output

as desired.
