OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
GENERAL CARE AND SAFETY GUIDE
Please read all instructions carefully before using this appliance and keep
them for future reference.
1. Use only the voltage specified on the rating plate.
2. Do not use this appliance on a wet surface, or where it can fall or be pushed into
water.
3. Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Switch off at the power
supply and unplug immediately.
4. This blender is intended for household use only and not for commercial or
industrial use.
5. The motor must always be switched off before the blender is connected with the
mains supply.
6. Keep hands and utensils out of glass jug while blending.
7. The blender is not to be operated while empty (i.e. without solid or liquid foodstuff).
8. Allow any hot liquids to cool to a lukewarm temperature before pouring them into
the blending unit.
9. Do not operate the blender for more than 3 minutes at any time.
10. Always operate blender with cover in place.
11. CAUTION: The blades are sharp –handle with care.
12. To reduce the risk of injury never place the blades on the base without the jar
properly attached.
13. Ensure the power cord is not left hanging over the edge of a table or benchtop.
14. Avoid contacting moving parts.
15. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause
fire, electrical shock or injury.
16. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord, plug or after the appliance
malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return to a qualified
electrical person for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, service or
repair.
17. Do not twist, kink or wrap the cord around the appliance, as this may cause the
insulation to weaken and split.
18. Do not remove plug from power socket until the appliance has been switched off.
19. Do not remove plug from power socket by pulling flex - always grip plug.
20. Do not allow cord to come in contact with heated surfaces during operation.
21. Use this appliance only as described in this manual. Any other use is not
recommended by the manufacturer and may cause electric shock or injury.
22. This appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons unless
they have been adequately supervised by a responsible person to ensure that they
can use the appliance safely.
23. Young children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with this appliance.
24. Do not use abrasive cleaning products on this appliance. Always remove the plug
from the mains supply before cleaning.
25. Do not plug the appliance into the power supply until it is fully assembled and
always unplug before disassembling the appliance or handling the blade.

care, as described in this leaflet, it will give you years of useful service. Please read
these instructions carefully.
COMPONENTS
OPERATING YOUR BLENDER
To operate the blender at a low speed, turn the dial to 1. To stop the blender, turn the
dial to O.
To operate the blender at a high speed, turn the dial to 2. To stop the blender, turn the
dial to O.
While the blender is operating, you may alternate between low and high speeds simply
by turning the dial to the desired speed setting.
For short pulse of blending, quickly turn the dial back and forth from P to O.
NOTE: Wait until the blade completely stops before removing the lid or jug.
CARE AND CLEANING
Important: Be sure the blender is unplugged before cleaning.
Remove container from blender base and rinse with water to remove any large food
particles that may have accumulated in the container. Replace container on base. Place
1 to 3/2 cups warm, soapy water into the container and blend at high speed for a few
seconds. Remove container from base and rinse with water. Repeat procedure as
necessary.
Wipe the blender base with a clean, damp cloth.
Caution: Do not immerse the blender base in water or other liquids. Do not use harsh
detergents or abrasives on any part of the blender.
Important: Only the container may be washed in the dishwasher, do not put the blade
assembly in the dishwasher. When washing by hand do not fill the container with boiling
water. The blade assembly bearings have been designed with a lifetime lubricant;
exposure to boiling water may damage these bearing and shorten the life of the blender.
Store the blender fully assembled and in an upright position in a dry, clean cabinet or
cupboard. With proper care and cleaning, your blender will last for years.

Your Goldair product has been inspected and tested and is guaranteed subject to the
following for a period to two years from the date of purchase against defects in
workmanship and materials. During this period, such defects will be rectified by
repair or replacement of the product purchased. Your product contains no user
serviceable components and this warranty becomes invalid if in our opinion the
product has been misused, abused, incorrectly installed, tampered with, connected
to an electrical supply not corresponding with the name plate specification, or
subjected to power surges. The warranty does not include any labour or other
associated expense that may be involved in removal or installation of the product.
Normal wear and tear is expressly excluded.
If your Goldair product fails to operate satisfactorily, please return it to the retailer
from whom it was purchased. To obtain a repair or replacement product under this
warranty, you will need to produce satisfactory evidence of date of purchase. The
completed warranty and purchase receipt must be presented with the product. The
warranty should be filled out at the time of purchase. It is in your interest to make
sure this is done.
If the product is to be replaced (cannot be repaired) then that replacement will be of
the same or similar product or accessory excluding packaging, instruction card etc.
Where a replacement product is supplied, this shall be guaranteed for the balance of
the original warranty period.
Any model that is no longer available will be replaced by a model of a value and with
such features as we consider appropriate in the circumstances. Goldair Ltd is not
responsible for freight forwarding charges, losses or damage in transit.
If service is required after the warranty period has expired, the product should be
returned to a qualified electrical technician. Service outside of the warranty period
will be at your cost.

In accordance with the above act consumers are advised that: The manufacturer
does not undertake that repair facilities and parts are necessarily available for this
product.
If any of the provisions of the foregoing are contrary to any relevant legislation, then
that provision shall be deemed to be excluded from the warranty and the rest of the
provisions will continue to apply.
