FALL AND
SUFFOCATION HAZARD
FALL HAZARD –Infants can fall through a wide leg
opening or out of carrier.
• Adjust leg openings to t baby’s legs snugly.
• Before each use, make sure all fasteners are secure.
• Take special care when leaning or walking.
• Never bend at waist; bend at knees.
• Only use this carrier for children between 7 lb and 26 lbs
(3.2 kg and 11.8 kg).
SUFFOCATION HAZARD – Infants under four months
can suffocate in this product if face is pressed tight against
your body.
• Do not strap infant too tight against your body.
• Allow room for head movement.
• Keep infant’s face free from obstructions at all times.

• NEVER leave child in carrier unless being worn by
caregiver. Child may fall, suffocate, or strangle.
• Child must face towards you until he or she can hold head
upright.
• Check to assure all buckles, snaps, straps, and adjustments
are secure before each use.
• Check for ripped seams, torn straps or fabrics, and
damaged fasteners before each use.
• Ensure proper placement of child in product, including leg
placement.
• Premature infants, infants with respiratory problems, and
infants under four months are at the greatest risk of
suffocation.
• Never use a soft carrier when balance or mobility is
impaired because of exercise, drowsiness, or medical
conditions.
• Never use a soft carrier while engaging in activities such as
cooking and cleaning, which involve a heat source or
exposure to chemicals.
• Never wear a soft carrier while driving or being a passenger
in a motor vehicle.
• Do not place sharp objects in carrier pockets.
• Ensure child’s body parts are clear when closing any
fasteners.

Wearing Your Carrier

Put the carrier on before placing
your baby in the carrier.
With the carrier in front of you,
slip the carrier over your head.
Buckle the shoulder strap A.
Repeat on the other side.

The carrier should be
comfortable and snug.
Pull on adjustment straps B
to remove slack.

Holding the buckle handle Aparallel to your body, as
shown, place it in the holder Band slide it downward.
As you slide the handle, it will rotate away from your
body. Keep sliding it downward until it locks into
position with an audible click.
2Important: Check that the
handle Ais locked properly
in position by feeling for the
handle tip Cat the bottom of
the holder, as shown.
If you can’t feel the tip, push the
handle downward until you do.

Sit down before removing
baby from carrier.
Release both head support
buckles and fold down top of
head support.
With your left arm support-
ing baby, grasp the side-entry
buckle handle

with your
left hand, as shown.

With your right hand, press the handle release tab B
and continue to hold down. With your left hand, lift the
buckle handle Aupward until it clicks.
Twist the buckle handle Aaway from baby in an upward
motion until you hear a click.
Note: Twist until the handle tongue completely clears
the groove Cin the holder.
Slide buckle handle Aupward out of holder.

Sit down.
With unbuckled carrier on
your lap, place baby onto
carrier facing you with legs
straddling carrier.
BE PREPARED FOR BABY’S
SUDDEN MOVEMENT!
While supporting baby’s head
and back, carefully raise
carrier and baby up toward
your chest.

The “hold me close” position, or facing inward, is best for young
infants with limited neck control.

While supporting baby,
fasten the head support
buckle Bto the shoulder
strap. Make sure it fastens
with an audible click.
Adjust headrest as nec-
essary to support baby’s
head. Repeat on the other
side.

IMPORTANT: Baby MUST be able to hold up head and neck
unassisted (about 4 to 5 months old).
Sit down.
With unsnapped/unbuckled
carrier on your lap, place baby
onto carrier facing away
from you with legs strad-
dling carrier.
BE PREPARED FOR BABY’S
SUDDEN MOVEMENT!
Support baby’s chest while
bringing the carrier up toward
baby’s chest.

Fasten the side-entry buckle A
