Cleaning the Air Filter

Your projector includes an air lter to ensure the best performance

and help protect your equipment investment. If dust collects on the

air lter, clean it as described here. Dust clogs prevent proper

ventilation and can cause overheating, which can damage the

projector.

1. Turn o the projector.

2. Remove dust from the air lter using a small vacuum cleaner

designed for computer or oce equipment, or gently clean the

vent with a soft brush (such as an artist’s paintbrush).

You can remove the air lter to clean both sides.

If the lter is too dirty or broken, replace the lter as described below.

Replacing the Air Filter

You need to replace the air lter if:

You cannot remove the dust from it

The air lter is damaged or torn

You repeatedly see a projected message telling you to clean or

replace it

Contact your dealer or call Epson at 800-GO-EPSON

(800-463-7766) to obtain a new air lter. Request part number

V13H134A27.

1. Turn o the projector and unplug the power cord.

2. Slide the switch, then open the air lter cover on the side of the

projector.

3. Grasp the tab and pull the air lter straight out as shown.

Air lters contain

polycarbonate, ABS resin,

and polyurethane foam.

Dispose of used air lters

according to local

regulations.

4. Press in the new air lter until it clicks into place.
