carefully before installing

the

unit.

Thank you for

choosing

EMBRACO

Sliding unit. It is

housed

air cooled

condensing

unit. This unit has

been

specifically

designed

for

refrigeration

and with service friendly

installation

in mind to save your time

site: easy

access

components.

This

technical instruction leaflet includes detailed information concerning installation, start

up,

servicing

and

maintenance.

ARNING

1.1

Transport and

handling.

Do not

transport

handle

the unit

up-side

down

because

the unit

contains

compressor

with oil.

1.2 Installation.

• This

condensing

unit and all

related equipment must

installed

by qualified

staff

•

The

installation

should

carried

out

accor

dance

with

the

elevant

efrigeration

and

electrical

standards

which apply in

that country. Refrigeration best practice must

be f

ollowed.

•

EMBRACO

shall

not

under

any

cir

cumstance

liable

the

installation

and

maintenance

not

carried

out in

accordance

with the

instructions

given in this

manual.

TECHNICAL

2.1 Identification label

for the

HOUSED CONDENSING UNIT

Always check if

the

label

correspond

to the

required

model to be

installed.

2.2 Safety devices.

All units are

supplied

with an

adjustable

pressure

switch and fixed value HP

pressure

switch, with a 6A

maximumcurrent rating.

3.1 Unpacking.

Before

unpacking

the unit, check

that

the

packaging

has not

been damaged

in any

way

and

that

the

exterior

is in good

condition.

3.2 Handling.

The

packaged condensing

unit can be lifted by forklift or

pallet

truck The unit

should

therefore

be kept in its

packaging

until it has

been

moved to the

installation

site. Once the

packaging

has

been removed,

“sliding units”can be

moved.

Warning: do not lift or move the

product

by its

housing

when

opening

the

housing.

3.3 Location.

Housed condensing

units should not block or

obstruct thoroughfares,

doors,

shutters

the

movement

personnel.

The

surface supporting

the

condensing

unit

must

be level and

capable

bearing

the

combined

weight of the unit +

support.

Ensure

there

is sufficient

distance between

the

condensing

unit

and

objects

in the

surrounding

area to

ensure

good air

circulation.

Housed condensing

units

must

installed

in well

ventilated

but not windy

locations.

Ensure

there is

good air

circulation

to the

condenser.

There

must

be no

obstacles

in front or to the side of the unit

which

would

cause

air

recirculation

to the

condenser resulting

in an

abnormally

high

condensation

temperature.

The

housed condensing

unit

must

mounted

in a level

position according

best refrigeration practice.

Ensure

that

the

condensing

unit is kept away from

heat sources, damp areas, corrosiveatmospheres or

any

sites

where

there

is a risk of

explosion.

Do not

exceed

the

recommended

service

essure.

3.4 Noise levels.

Precautions must

taken

during

installation

to avoid

generating additional noise

and

vibration:

• units

must

securely mounted

on a

stable,

rigid

base,

3.5 Mounting.

Ensure the unit is

securely

fixed to the type of floor or wall

surface

upon which it

mounted

using the

appropriated

fixings (not

supplied).

Warning: do not

fix

the

housed

unit to a wall by the rear of the

casing

as it is not

designed

for this

purpose.

Warning: do not open

housed

unit

before

fixing, the sliding front

panel

should be open only when the

unit

is properly fixed to avoid the unit will fall

down.

3.6 Access

3.8 Electricalconnections

The unit is

fitted

with a

electrical

box to which the factory

installed

compressor,

fan

assembly,

and main

electrical

box where

pressure

switch,

crankcase heater and

main switch or

contactor

are

connected

via

terminal

block

mounted

on a

DIN

rail.

Ensure the

electrical supply

disconnected before carrying

out any wiring or

repairs

of the

unit.

All

cabling

site must conform

with NF

C15-100

in France or with the

current legislation

country

in the EC).

3.9 Connectingcomponents.

Please

refer to the wiring

diagram supplied

with the unit when

connecting

components.

START

4.1 Preventing leakage.

All

connections must

systematically checked

for any

leakage

with

electronic leakage detector suitable

for the type of

refrigerant

used

around

the joints. A leak

test

can

carried

out

before

pulling a

vacuum

by using a

charge

nitrogen

and a leak

detection aerosol

4.2 Pulling

After the

installation

has

been

running for

several

hours, carry out the following checks. Make sure

that:

drawn by the

condensing

unit is corr

operating pressures

of the

installation

3. fan

blades

are

rotating

and sub

coolin,

5. the

system

checked

again for

leaks.

AND

maintain

the low noise levels of the

condensing

unit over time, we

ecommend

replacing

the

anti-vibrationmounts

as soon as any

change

in the noise or

vibration

level of the unit is

noticed.

Filter drier.

Housed condensing

units are fitted with a

brazed

filter drier.

Replacement

filter

drier

selection:

When

changing

the filter drier,

ensure that

it is

replaced

with an

equivalent

capacity and

pressure

drop and with the

correct direction

of flow.
