IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances,
especially when children are present,
basic safety precautions should
always be followed including the
following:
•
READ AND SAVE ALL
INSTRUCTIONS.
•Do not touch hot surfaces. Use
handles or knobs.
•To protect against electrical
shock NEVER immerse the entire
toaster or the electrical cord in
water or any other liquid.
•Close supervision is necessary
when any appliance is used by or
near children.
•Unplug from outlet when not in
use and before cleaning. Allow to
cool before putting on or taking
off parts and before cleaning.
•Do not operate any appliance
with a damaged cord or plug or
after the appliance malfunctions
or has been damaged in any
manner. Return appliance to the
nearest authorized service
facility for examination, repair,
or adjustment.
•The use of accessory
attachments is not
recommended by the appliance
manufacturer and may cause
injuries to the user.
•Do not use outdoors.
•Do not let cord hang over edge
of table or counter, or touch hot
surfaces.
•Do not place on or near a hot gas
or electric burner, or in a heated
oven.
•Always attach plug to appliance
first, then plug cord into the wall
outlet. To disconnect, turn any
control to “off”, then remove
plug from wall outlet.
•Do not use appliance for other
than intended use.
•Oversize foods, metal foil
packages or utensils must not be
inserted in a toaster as they may
create a risk of fire or electric
shock.
•A fire may occur if toaster is
covered by or touching
flammable material, including
curtains, draperies, walls, and the
like, when in operation.
•Do not attempt to dislodge food
when toaster is plugged in. Do
not attempt to dislodge food
with metal utensils while the
toaster is operating and/or
plugged into the electrical
outlet. Doing so will lead to
serious personal injury.
•When the appliance is plugged
into the electrical outlet, and
moreover, while it is turned on,
never place hands, utensils, or
any other object into the bread
toasting slots.
•Do not attempt to plug the
appliance into the electrical
outlet with wet or damp hands.
•Unplug the appliance from the
electrical outlet when it is not in
use.
•Do not unplug the appliance
from the outlet by pulling on the
cord.
•Do not leave this appliance
unattended while in use.
•If the appliance begins to
malfunction, stop using
immediately. Do not attempt to
repair the appliance. Contact
customer service or another
authorized agent.
