Reading and storing the user manual

This user manual accompanies this convection heater. It contains

important information on setup and handling.

Before using the convection heater, read the user manual careful-

ly. This particularly applies to the safety notes. Failure to heed this

user manual may result in severe injury or damage to the convection heater

and in buildings.

Store the user manual for further use. If you pass the convection heater on to

third parties, please be absolutely sure to include this user manual.

Proper use

The convection heater is only designed for heating and ventilating closed, dry

indoor areas. It is only intended for private use and not suitable for commercial

purposes.

Only use the convection heater as described in this user manual. Using it in any

other way is deemed improper and may result in damage to property or even

personal injury. The convection heater is not a children’s toy.

The manufacturer or vendor cannot be held liable for damages incurred

through improper or incorrect use.

Safety notes

WARNING!

Risk of electric shock!

Improper handling, faulty electrical installation or excessive

line voltage may result in an electric shock.

− Only connect the convection heater if the line voltage of

the socket corresponds to the nameplate specification.

− Only connect the convection heater to an easily accessible

socket so that you can quickly disconnect it from the grid

in the event of a fault.

− The convection heater must not be set up directly under a

wall socket.

− Do not operate the convection heater if it is visibly dam-

aged or if the power cable or power plug is defective.

− If the power cable of the convection heater is damaged,

the manufacturer, its customer service team or a person

with similar qualifications must replace it.

− Do not open the housing; instead, have a qualified profes-

sional perform repairs. Contact a qualified workshop for

this. Liability and warranty claims are waived in the event

of repairs performed by the user, improper connection or

incorrect operation.

− Only parts that comply with the original device data may

be used for repairs. Electrical and mechanical parts, which

are essential for providing protection against sources of

danger, are located in this convection heater.

− Do not immerse the convection heater or the power ca-

ble or plug in water or other liquids. Keep the convection

heater away from dripping water and splash water.

− Never touch the power plug with damp hands.

− Never use the convection heater in the direct vicinity of a

bath tub, shower or swimming pool.

− Set up the convection heater so that the switches and con-

trols are not within the reach of a person in the bath tub,

shower or swimming pool.

− Do not pull the power plug out of the socket by the power

cable; instead, always pull it out by the plug.

− Never use the power cable as a carrying strap.

− Keep the power plug and the power cable away from

open flames and hot surfaces e.g. from the housing when

operating the convection heater.

− Lay the power cable so that it does not pose a tripping

hazard.

− Do not kink the power cable and do not lay it over sharp

edges.

− Only use the convection heater indoors. Do not operate

the convection heater in wet rooms or in the rain.

− Never store the convection heater such that there is a risk

of it falling into a tub or a basin.

− Never reach to retrieve an electrical device if it has fallen in

water. In such a case, immediately disconnect the power

plug.

− Make sure that children do not insert any objects in the

housing of the convection heater.

− Always switch the convection heater off and pull the

power plug out of the socket when you are not using the

convection heater, when you intend to clean it or in the

event of a fault.

− Pull the power plug out of the socket with earthing con-

tact in the event of an incoming storm.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should al-

ways be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and

injury to persons, including the following:

1. Read all instructions before using this heater.

2. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let

bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles

when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials,

such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and

curtains at least 3 feet (0.9m) from the front of the heater

and keep them away from the sides and rear.

3. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by

or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left

operating and unattended.

4. Always unplug heater when not in use.

5. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or

after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or dama-

ged in any manner. Discard heater, or return to authorized

service facility for examination and/or repair.

6. Do not use outdoors.

7. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laund-

ry areas and similar indoor locations. Never locate heater

where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.

8. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with

throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route cord

under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from

traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.

9. To disconnect heater, turn controls to off, then remove plug

from outlet.
