DESCRIPTION
The Series 4 lineman’s test set is used by ins-
tallers, repair technicians, and other telecom-
munications personnel for the installation aud
testing of telephone services.
The Series 4 test set provides :
- DTMF (tone) and rotary (pulse) dialing.
- Electronic ringer to indicate incoming calls.
- Last number redial - 23 digits - T/P.
-Line polarity indication.
- Line monitor feature.
-Register recall/Hook flash.
- Mute feature for noisy locations.
-Modular cordset connection.
- Amplified speaker (Series 4 ampli only)
The enclosureis made of impact resistant “ther-
moplastic”designed to withstand the rough condi-
tions and shocks associated with craft use.
The back of the test set is equipped with a nons-
lip pad, to enable “hand free” testing while the
Series 4 rests on your shoulder.
The recessed keypad design protects the keypad
from damage and minimizes accidental button
contact.
A belt clip provides convenient connection of the
Series 4.
A headset jack is located at the transmitter end
of the testset, near the belt clip. It is protected from
dust and rain by a rubber cover.
When a headset is connected to the testset, the
headset can be activated by moving the headset
switch to the “ON” position. 3
