Handling

Instructions

:

Please

read

the

following

instructions

Carefully

before

handling

pick-ups.

1)

Handle

with

care

The

pick-up

KSS-121A

is

assembled

and

precisely

adjusted

using

a

sophisticated

manufacturing

Process

in

our

plant.

Keep

the

pick-up.

protected

from

vibration

and

impact.

Do

not

disassemble

or

attempt

to

re-adjust

it.

Hold

the

optical

base

(aluminum

diecast)

when

handl-

ing

it.

Do

not

touch

the

PD

and

LD

PWB

(Printed

Wiring

Board).

2

Storage

Do

not

store

the

Pick-up

in

dusty,

high-temperature

or

high-humidity

environments.

3

Laser

Protect

Your

Eyes

Do

not

Jook

at

the

taser

light

beam

through

the

objective

lens

directly

nor

another

lens

or

a

mirror,

The

taser

beam

may

damage

the

human

eye,

since

the

intensity

of

the

focusd

may

reach

1.3%

even

if

the

intensity

at

the

maximum,

Poison

:

The

LO

chip

contains

As

(arsenic),

a

poison.

Aithough

the

poison

is

relatively

weak

and

the

amount

is

small,

avoid

putting

the

chip

in

acid

or

an

alkali

solution,

heating

it

over

200°C

or

Putting

itjinto

your

mouth,

Avoid

surge

current

or

electrostatic

discharge

The

LO

may

be

damaged

if

a

large

current

is

applied

to

it,

even

if

only

a

short

pulse.

For

safe

handling

of

an

LD,

grounding

the

human

body

and

Measuring

equipment

\

is

strongly

recommended.

Make

sure

that

there

is

no

Surge

Actuator

The

performance

of.

the

actuator

may

be

effected

if

magnetic

material

is

located

housings

for

electrical

connections.

Care

should

be

taken

to

see

that

the

con-

nector

of

the

LD

harness

is

clamped

tightly,

since

a

loose

connection

may

cause

a

serious

damage

to

the

LD.

There

may

be

a

deterioration

in
