About the Product
The DL6 from Dellonda is the perfect metal
detector for all kinds of metal detection
enthusiasts, from amateur beginners and
children through to the most experienced and
professional user. Adept at nding materials
across all types of terrain the DL6 with a robust
water resistant search coil which can be used
at the beach, in elds, in woodlands or at home
in the garden. Being made from lightweight
ABS and featuring a comfortable arm support
ensures that the DL6 will never grow tired in
your hands. The DL6 boasts plenty of features
including: Pinpoint function, enabling the user
to sweep an area and search for the strongest
signal resulting in a higher return of accuracy
and faster nds. Metals discrimination, this
feature is a great time saver meaning you spend
much less time digging for low value materials
such as iron and more time discovering hidden
treasures such as ancient artefacts, jewellery
and coins of silver or gold. Adjustable sensitivity
to a maximum depth of 20cm, ideal for situations
where the ground is high in minerals and a lower
sensitivity is required. Motion discrimination, no
tuning is needed and the detector will silently
travel across the surface until a target is found.
For your comfort and convenience the DL6
metal detector is equipped with an extendable
stem ranging from 76cms to 101cms making
it perfectly adaptable according to every
individual’s needs. It is also supplied with
a handy folding shovel that can be stowed
away along with the detector itself into the
accompanying lightweight carry bag.
Safety Instructions
• DO NOT use headphones (not supplied) while
operating near high-trac areas.
• Set the volume to the lowest setting when
you begin listening and adjust the volume to a
comfortable level as you use the detector.
• NOTE: The internal speaker disconnects when
you connect headphones.
Assembly
• It is easier to t batteries whilst the control
unit is not xed to the handle (g.2).
• Ensure detector is switched Off.
• Slide battery compartment covers off and
connect the 9V batteries (not supplied) taking
care to ensure correct polarity. Place batteries
back into the compartments and re-cover.
• Attach search coil to smaller stem using the
supplied plastic bolt and nut. DO NOT over-
tighten.
• Insert smaller diameter stem into the larger
stem and lock in place using the lock nut.
• Fully loosen the xing screw on the underside
of the handle top surface (g.2).
• Locate latch on the top of the handle into the
mating hole on the underside of the control
box and slide the unit forward until fully
engaged.
• Screw the xing screw into the tapped hole on
the underside of the control box (g.2).
• Carefully insert the 5 pin search coil cable plug
into the rear face of the control box ensuring
correct pin and socket alignment.
• Adjust overall length to a comfortable position
for yourself with the sensor approximately
50 cm off the ground by loosening and then
tightening the handle lock nut (g.1)
• Adjust the angle of the search coil by
loosening the clamp screw.
Operation
• Familiarise yourself with the functionality and
operation of the detector before starting your
‘live’ searching.
