INSTALLATION OPTIONS

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Important: Recommended installation height of line is
user height + 100mm (+4 inch) minimum. Maximum
wall to wall distance of 7 metres (23 feet). Ensure
selected position has a clearance of 1 metre (3.3 feet)
minimum on either side.
For timber wall installations, follow instructions and
use 5mm (13/64”) diameter to drill all mounting hole
positions and discard plastic plugs when installing
cabinet and bracket.

Tools required for installation:
• 8 metre (26 feet) measuring tape & pencil marker
• Hammer
• Hammer drill
• Masonry drill bit (10mm or 25/64” diameter)
• Socket set or adjustable wrench
• 1 spirit level (optional)
• Twist drill 5mm (13/64”) diameter (optional)
Please check the carton contains all the
required parts before installing the clothesline.
Your carton should contain the following:
1. Daytek 4/5/6 Outdoor Retractable Clothesline x 1
2. Wall to Wall fixing pack including detailed
installation instructions x 1
(Fixing pack provided is for installing to bricks and
timber walls only. For fixing to other type of wall
structures consult your local hardware specialist)

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

1. Mark recommended installation height, cabinet
and bracket center positions (refer to Wall
Mounting Hole Position Table). (See Fig. 1)
2. Drill two cabinet mounting holes with 10mm
(25/64”) diameter x 50–60mm (2.0-2.4 inch)
depth on the cabinet wall side. (See Fig. 2)
3. Drill four mounting holes with 10mm
diameter x 50–60mm (2.0-2.4 inch) depth
on the bracket wall side. (See Fig. 3)
4. To install bracket, insert plastic plug into
the hole and secure bracket with screws
and tighten into position. Repeat to install
second bracket. (See Fig. 4)
5. To install cabinet, insert plastic plug into
the hole and affix screws leaving 10-15mm
(0.4 – 0.6 inch) distance from shoulder
head to the wall. (See Fig. 5)
6. Align and locate cabinet mounting hole
into screw and pull down slightly to secure
correctly. Ensure unit is sitting flat and if
required reduce distance of screw from the
wall to suit. (See Fig. 6)

2. Gently pull handrail out
from side of cabinet
and hook onto
brackets on the
opposite wall.
RE-TENSION LINE
3. Rotate the lever
anticlockwise into the LOCK
position. Do not rotate handle
past the side tab. Push handle
knob inwards to lock into
position and secure the line.
Always return lever to the LOCK position
once clothesline is extended to final
position. Do not use clothesline other
than to hang and dry washing. Ensure
clothesline is not used as play item by
children swinging or hanging on lines.

To re-tension line, move lever to UNLOCK position. Unhook handrail from bracket and
allow line to retract into unit. Pull handrail back out to position and hook onto brackets.
Re-position lever into the LOCK position and press handle knob to secure.
Note: Moving the lever into the LOCK position will place some final tension on the line.

This clothesline is self-tensioning. LEVER IS NOT TO BE USED AS A WINDING
MECHANISM. With lever in the UNLOCK position, the clothesline will self-tension. Once
line has self-tensioned, rotate the lever into the LOCK position.

Importante: La altura de instalación recomendada

1. Marque la altura de instalación recomendada, las
posiciones centrales del gabinete y del soporte

2. Taladre dos orificios de montaje del gabinete
con 10 mm (25/64”) de diámetro x 50–60 mm

3. Taladre cuatro orificios de montaje con
10 mm de diámetro x 50–60 mm (2,0-2,4
pulgadas) de profundidad en el lado de la
pared del soporte. (Ver Fig.3)
4. Para instalar el soporte, inserte el tapón de
plástico en el orificio y asegure el soporte
con tornillos y apriete en su posición. Repita
para instalar el segundo soporte. (Ver Fig.4)
5. Para instalar el gabinete, inserte un tapón
de plástico en el orificio y fije los tornillos
dejando una distancia de 10-15 mm (0,4 - 0,6
pulgadas) desde la cabeza hasta la pared.
(Ver Fig.5)
6. Alinee y ubique el orificio de montaje del
gabinete en el tornillo y tire ligeramente
hacia abajo para asegurarlo correctamente.
Asegúrese de que la unidad esté colocada
en posición horizontal y, si es necesario,
reduzca la distancia entre el tornillo y la
pared para adaptarla. (Ver Fig.6)

tendedero que no sea para colgar y secar
la ropa. Asegúrese de que los niños no
utilicen el tendedero como elemento de
juego cuando se balanceen o cuelguen de
las cuerdas.

Para volver a tensar la línea, mueva la palanca a la posición DESBLOQUEAR. Desenganche
el pasamanos del soporte y permita que la línea se retraiga hacia la unidad. Tire de la

palanca en la posición LOCK y presione la perilla de la manija para asegurarla.
Nota: Mover la palanca a la posición LOCK colocará un poco de tensión final en la línea

la palanca a la posición LOCK.
