The MT250 is constructed with rugged diecast aluminum and should

provide years of trouble free weatherproof service.

What to know

PLEASE READ THESE IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.

• For outdoor use only.

•cULus Listed for wet location use.

•Fixture must be connected to a 120 volt, 60 Hz power source

(any other connection voids warranty).

•Fixture should be installed by a qualified electrician or by persons with

experience in household wiring. The electrical system, and the method of

electrically connecting this fixture to it, must be in accordance with the

National Electrical Code and local building codes.

•Fixture should be mounted to a grounded junction box marked for use in

wet locations.

• Suitable for wall mount or eave mount only. NOT suitable for ground

mount installation.

• Keep away from flammable objects. Do not position fixture

within one inch of any combustible materials.

•The bulb and fixture get extremely hot during use.

Allow fixture to cool completely before attempting to reposition fixture.

•Always replace bulb with the same wattage or lower wattage than

marked. Installing a bulb of a higher wattage could create a fire hazard.

Use of a higher wattage bulb will void the warranty.

• Your light fixture is prewired for easy installation.

•Disassembly of your fixture will void the warranty

Installing your fixture

Note: Estimated assembly/installation time is 15 minutes.

Warning: Risk of electric shock. Disconnect power at fuse or

circuit breaker before installing or servicing.

Step 1: This mounting plate has been designed to work with a variety of

different junction boxes. Line up the holes in the mounting plate with

the screw bosses in your junction box.

Note: If holes in mounting plate do not match the screw bosses in your junction

box, drill holes in the mounting plate using an 1/8” drill bit to match screw

bosses in junction box.

Step 2: Take the gasket (C) included with this mounting plate and position it

behind the mounting plate. Line up the screws in the mounting plate

with the appropriate hole pattern in the gasket and remove gasket

material in those holes.

Step 3: Connect lampholder wires to supply wires from house (white to white

and black to black) using wire nuts (E). Attach the ground wire from

your house to the copper colored wire (coming from the fixture cover

plate) using a wire nut. The electrical system, and the method of

electrically connecting the fixture to it, must be in accordance with the

National Electrical Code and building codes.

Step 4: Attach the mounting plate to your junction box using the screws

provided (F), making sure that the gasket is properly aligned and that

all screws are tightly secured. To prevent moisture from entering the

junction box, apply a bead of silicone sealant around the edge of the

mounting plate where it attaches to the junction box and any open

holes.

Warning: Risk of burn. Disconnect power and allow fixture to cool

before changing bulb or handling fixture.

Step 5: Insert gaskets (D) into lampholders and screw bulbs (A) into

lampholders (do not overtighten bulbs).

Step 6: Turn power on at main fuse/breaker box.

Aiming the light

Loosen the knob on the side of the light housing. Tilt fixture head up or

down to desired position then retighten knob.

Two Year Limited Warranty

Cooper Lighting (“the Company”) warrants this product (“the product”) against

defects in material or workmanship for a period of two years from date of origi-

nal purchase, and agrees to repair or, at the Company’s option, replace a defec-

tive product without charge for either replacement parts or labor during such

time. This does not include labor to remove or install fixtures.

This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser of the product.

A purchasers receipt or other proof of date of original purchase acceptable to

the Company is required before warranty performance shall be rendered.

This warranty only covers product failure due to defects in materials or

workmanship which occurs in normal use. It does not cover the bulb or failure

of the product caused by accident, misuse, abuse, lack of reasonable care,

alteration, or faulty installation, subjecting the product to any but the specified

electrical service or any other failure not resulting from defects in materials or

workmanship. Damage to the product caused by separately purchased, non-

Company brand replacement bulbs and corrosion or discoloration of brass

components are not covered by this warranty.

There are no express warranties except as described above.

THE COMPANY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR

CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM THE USE OF THE

PRODUCT OR ARISING OUT OF ANY BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY. ALL

IMPLIED WARRANTIES, IF ANY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF

MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE

LIMITED IN DURATIONTO THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESSWARRANTY.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or

consequential damages, or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so

the above exclusions or limitations may not apply to you.

No other warranty, written or verbal, is authorized by the Company.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights

which vary from state to state.

To obtain warranty service, please write to: Cooper Lighting, 1121 Highway 74

South, Peachtree City, GA 30269. Enclose product model number and prob-

lems you are experiencing, along with your address and telephone number. You

will then be contacted with a solution, or a Return Goods Authorization number

and full instructions for returning the product. All returned products must be

accompanied by a Return Goods Authorization Number issued by the Company

and must be returned freight prepaid. Any product received without a Return

Goods Authorization Number from the Company willbe refused.

Cooper Lighting is not responsible for merchandise damaged in transit.

Repaired or replaced products shall be subject to the terms of this warranty and

are inspected when packed. Evident or concealed damage that is made in tran-

sit should be reported at once to the carrier making the delivery and a claim

filed with them.

y el método de conexión eléctrica del portalámparas debe cumplir con el

No es adecuado para instalarse montándolo en el suelo.

•Manténgalo alejado de objetos inflamables. No coloque el

artefacto en posición dentro de 1 pulgada (2,5 cm) de cualquier

•Las lámparas y el artefacto se calientan extremadamente durante

•Reemplace siempre la bombilla con una del mismo vatiaje o más bajo que

el marcado. Si instala lámparas de mayor potencia, puede crear riesgo de

incendio. Si usa lámparas de mayor potencia, se anula la garantía.

•La lámpara es percableada para facilitar la instalación.

•Si desarma el artefacto, se anula la garantía.

Instalación de su porta-bombilla

Nota: Tiempo estimado de ensamblaje/instalación 15 minutos.

Advertencia: Riesgo de choque eléctrico. Antes de la instalación

o reparación, desconecte la alimentación eléctrica en el fusible o

interruptor automático.

Paso 1: Esta placa de montaje fue diseñada para trabajar con una variedad

de cajas de conexión diferentes. Alinee los agujeros en la placa de

montaje con las salientes para tornillos en la caja de empalmes.

Nota: Si los orificios en la placa de montaje no coinciden con los salientes para

tornillos en la caja de empalmes, taladre orificios en la placa utilizando una

broca de 1/8˝ para que los salientes coincidan en la caja.

Paso 2: Tome la junta incluida con esta placa de montaje y colóquela en

posición detrás de ella. Alinee los tornillos de la placa de montaje

con el formato adecuado de la junta y quite el material de la junta

en esos orificios.

Paso 3: Conecte los cables del portalámparas con los cables de

alimentación eléctrica de la casa (blanco con blanco y negro con

negro), usando tuercas aisladas para empalmes eléctricos. Conecte

el alambre de tierra de la casa al alambre de color cobre

(proveniente de la cubierta de la lámpara) utilizando un conector de

emplamar. El sistema eléctrico y el método de conexión eléctrica del

artefacto al mismo deben ser de acuerdo al Código Eléctrico

Nacional de los Estados Unidos y los códigos de construcción.

Paso 4: Una la placa de montaje a su caja de conexiones usando

los tornillos incluidos con ésta, asegurándose de que la junta quede

alineada correctamente y de que todos los tornillos estén apretados

con seguridad. Para impedir la entrada de humedad a la caja de

empalmes, aplique un cordón de sellante silicónico alrededor de la

placa de montaje, donde se une a la caja de empalmes y en todos

los orificios abiertos.

Advertencia: Riesgo de quemadura. Antes de cambiar un foco o

manejar el artefacto, desconecte la alimentación eléctrica y espere

a que el artefacto se enfríe.

Paso 5: Introduzca las juntas obturadoras dentro del portalámparas y

enrosque los focos dentro de cada portalámparas. No apriete

demasiado los focos.

Paso 6: Active la fuente de alimentación en la caja de fusibles/

interruptor automático.

Para apuntar la luz

Afloje la perilla en el costado de la carcasa del artefacto. Incline la

cabeza del artefacto hacia arriba o abajo, hasta la posición deseada

y luego vuelva a apretar la perilla.

CONSERVE ESTAS INSTRUCCIONES.

Dos años de garantía limitada

Cooper Lighting (‘la Compañía’) garantiza este producto (‘el producto’) contra

defectos de material o fabricación, por un período de dos años a partir de la

fecha de la compra original, y acuerda reparar o, a opción de la Compañía,

reemplazar un producto defectuoso sin cargo, ya sea por las piezas de

reemplazo o la mano de obra correspondiente, durante dicho tiempo. Esto

no incluye la mano de obra necesaria para retirar o instalar artefactos.

Esta garantía se extiende únicamente al comprador original del producto.

Antes de efectivizar el cumplimiento de la garantía, se requiere del comprador

un recibo u otra prueba de la fecha de la compra original, que sea aceptable

para la Compañía.T

Esta garantía cubre únicamente las fallas del producto debidas a defectos en

sus materiales o fabricación, que ocurran durante su uso normal. No cubre la

lámpara, ni las fallas del producto causadas por accidente, mal uso, maltrato,

falta de cuidado razonable, alteración o instalación defectuosa, conexión del

producto a un suministro eléctrico distinto del especificado, o cualquier otra falla

que no sea consecuencia de defectos en los materiales o en la fabricación.

Los daños causados al producto por lámparas de repuesto adquiridas

separadamente, que no sean de la marca de la Compañía, y por corrosión

o decoloración de los componentes de latón, no están cubiertos por esta

garantía.

No existen otras garantías expresas más que la descripta anteriormente.

LA COMPAÑIA NO SERA RESPONSABLE DE DAÑOS INCIDENTALES,

ESPECIALES O CONSIGUIENTES QUE RESULTEN DEL USO DEL PRO-

DUCTO O SE ORIGINEN EN CUALQUIER INFRACCION A ESTA GARANTIA.

TODA GARANTIA IMPLICITA, SI LA HUBIERA, INCLUYENDO GARANTIAS

IMPLICITAS DE COMERCIABILIDAD Y ADECUACION PARA UN FIN

PARTICULAR, ESTAN LIMITADAS EN DURACION A LA DURACION DE ESTA

GARANTIA EXPRESA. Algunas jurisdicciones o estados no permiten la

exclusión o limitación de daños incidentales o consiguientes, o las limitaciones

Ce qu’il faut savoir

•Le luminaire est prévu pour une utilisation à l’extérieur uniquement.

•Le luminaire est listé cULus pour l’utilisation dans des lieux humides.

• L’appareil doit être relié à une source secteur de 120 volts à 60 Hz (toute

autre connexion annule la garantie).

•Le luminaire doit être installé par un électricien qualifié ou par des personnes

expérimentées en câblage ménager. Le système électrique et la méthode du

branchement du dispositif à cette installation électrique doivent respecter les

spécifications du Code électrique national ainsi que les réglementations

locales pour le bâtiment.

• L’appareil doit être monté sur une boîte de jonction reliée à la terre

marquée comme apte à une utilisation en lieux humides.

•Convient uniquement aux installations murales ou sur l’avant-

toit. Ne convient pas aux installations au sol.

•Gardez les objets inflammables à distance. Ne positionnez pas

le luminaire à moins de 2,5 cm de tous matériaux combustibles.

• L’ampoule et sa fixation deviennent extrêmement chauds pendant le

fonctionnement. Laissez l’ensemble refroidir complètement avant

d’essayer de changer sa position.

• Remplacez toujours l’ampoule par un modèle de puissance égale ou

inférieure à celle indiquée. La mise en place d’une ampoule plus forte peut

provoquer un danger d’incendie. L’utilisation d’une ampoule de puissance plus

élevée que la valeur nominale annule la garantie.

Câblage de votre dispositif

Remarque: Temps estimé d’assemblage/installation 15 minutes.

Avertissement: Risque de commotion électrique. Débrancher

l’alimentation au niveau des fusibles ou du disjoncteur en amont

avant d’installer ou d’intervenir sur l’unité.

Étape 1: Cette plaque de montage a été conçue pour s’adapter sur un grand

nombre de boîtiers de jonction différents. Alignez les trous de la

plaque de montage avec les bossages pourvis de votre boîtier de

jonction.

Remarque: Si les trous de la plaque de montage ne correspondent pas aux

bossages pour vis de votre boîtier, percez de nouveaux trous dans la plaque de

montage en utilisant un foret de 3,2 mm (1/8 po) pour correspondre aux

éncartements de ces bossages.

Étape 2: Prenez le joint inclus avec la plaque de montage et positionnez-le

derrière la plaque. Alignez les vis de la plaque de montage avec la

configuration appropriée de trous du joint et enlevez le matériau du

joint à l’endroit des trous à utiliser.

Étape 3: Reliez les fils de la douille aux fils d’arrivée secteur de la maison

(blanc avec blanc, noir avec noir) en utilisant des serre-fils.Fixez le

fil de terre venant de votre bâtiment au fil couleur cuivrée (venant

de la plaque de couveture de l’appareil) en utilisant un serre-fils. Le

système électrique, et la méthode pour y raccorder le luminaire,

doivent être en conformité avec les règlements nationaux et les

standards du bâtiment.

Étape 4: Fixez la plaque de montage sur votre boîtier de jonction en

utilisant les vis qui vont avec, en vous assurant que le joint est

correctement aligné et que toutes les vis sont bien serrées.

Pour éviter que l’humidité ne pénètre dans le boîtier de jonction,

appliquez un cordon de produit d’étanchéité aux silicones sur le

rebord de la plaque de montage à l’endroit où elle est attachée au

boîtier de jonction, ainsi que dans tous les trous restant ouverts.

Avertissement: Danger de brulures. Débrancher et laisser refroidir

avant de changer l'ampoule ou effectuer toute intervention.

Étape 5: Insérez les joints dans les douilles de lampe et vissez les ampoules

sur chaque douille en ne les serrant pas de manière excessive.

Étape 6: Rebranchez l’électricité au disjoncteur principal.

Orientation de l'éclairage

Desserrez la molette sur le côté du caisson du luminaire. Basculez la tête

vers le haut ou le bas jusqu’à la position désirée, puis resserrez la molette.
