IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed to reduce the risk of re. Electric shook and injury to persons, including
the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
3. Move or lift the Single Burner by its sides after it has cooled completely.
4. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or Housing Unit in
water or other liquids.
5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
6. Do not use appliance unattended.
7. Unplug from the wall outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before
putting on or taking off parts.
8. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner.
9. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer
may cause unjuries.
10. Do not use outdoors.
11. Do not let cord hang over the edge of the table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
12. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
13. Extreme caution must be used when moving any pot or pan containing hot oil or other
hot liquids from this appliance.
14. Do not use this appliance for anything other than it’s intended use. This appliance is
for household use only.
15. To disconnect, turn Temperature Control Dials to OFF, then remove plug from wall
outlet.

POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk
of electric shock, this plug is intended to t into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not t fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied
electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way. CAUTION: No user serviceable
parts inside. Do not attempt to service this product.

deben orientarse a reducir el riesgo de incendios, shock eléctrico y lesiones.

GUARDE ESTAS INSTRUCCIONES
ENCHUFE POLARIZADO
Esta freidora tiene un enchufe polarizado (una espiga es más ancha que la otra) y entra
en un tomacorriente polarizado sólo en una forma. Si no entra completamente, inviértalo.
Si aún así no entra, llame a un electricista calicado. No modique el enchufe en forma
alguna. Si el enchufe queda suelto dentro del tomacorriente o éste se calienta, no lo use.

FIRST USE
• Before the Single Burner is used for the first time, it should be heated up at maximum
setting for approximately 4 minutes without a pot. During this curing process, the
protective coating is hardened and obtains its maximum strength.
• The Single Burner may smoke the first time it is used- it is not defective and the smoke
will burn off within a few minutes.
• Do not leave the unit ON without any pots/pans on the Sealed Burners, after the curing
process.
• Do not use as a portable heater.
• Make sure the power supply cord does not touch hot elements or cooking utensils.
• For daily cooking, wipe excess water/condensation off pots, lids, and utensils prior to
use.
• Make sure that hot pots/pans do not touch the Housing Unit - these could damage the
surface finish.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Before plugging in your Single Burner, check to ensure that the electrical circuit is not
overloaded with other appliances. This unit should always be operated on a separate 120
volt, AC circuit.
1. Place unit on a flat, smooth surface. Be sure to place it in a safe area where it will not
fall or be pulled down by the cord.
NOTE: Provide at least 4 to 6 inches of space above and around the unit for proper
ventilation.
2. Plug unit into electrical outlet and turn the Temperature Control Knob(s) from OFF to
the desired setting.
3. When using a pot or pan, you should place it in the center of the burner. It is
recommended that you use a pot or pan that is the same size as the burner.
4. When not in use, unplug to assure the unit is OFF. This helps to prevent accidental
burns.
PRIMER USO
• Antes de usar Ia hornilla por primera vez debe calentarse al máximo por
aproximadamente 4 minutos para que el recubrimiento protector se endurezca y

INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
Antes de enchufar Ia cocinilla, cerciorese que el circuito eléctrico no este sobrecargado
con otros artefactos. Esta unidad siempre debe operarse en un circuito de corriente
alterna de 120V.
1. Coloque Ia unidad sobre una superficie plana y lisa. Asegúrese de colocarla en un
Iugar seguro donde no se caiga ni las personas se puedan enredar con el cordón y
hacerla caer.
NOTA: Provea al menos 10 a 15cm (4” a 6”) de espacio libre sobre y alrededor de Ia
unidad para ventilación adecuada.
2. Enchufe Ia unidad a un tomacorriente eléctrico y gire las perillas de control a Ia
temperatura deseada.
3. AI usar una sartén u olla debe colocarse en el centro de Ia hornilla y se recomienda
que sea del mismo tamaño de Ia hornilla.
4. Cuando esta unidad no este en uso, desconéctela y asegúrese que las perillas de
control esten en Ia posicion de apagado (OFF).
CLEANING
1. Turn Temperature Control Knob(s) OFF.
2. Always unplug unit from electrical outlet and allow to cool before cleaning.
3. NEVER IMMERSE UNIT IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUIDS.
4. Do not attempt to separate burner from the unit.
5. Use a damp, soapy cloth or sponge to clean the surface of the sealed burners, burner
rings, legs, and housing unit. NEVER USE HARSH ABRASIVE OR STEEL WOOL
PADS ON ANY PART OF THE BURNER.
6. Thoroughly wipe soap from sealed burners and burner rings. Then dry.
7. There are no user serviceable parts. Any servicing other than cleaning should be
performed by an authorized service center.
NOTE: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from
becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. If a longer cord is required, extension
cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord
is used, (1) the marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great
as the electrical rating of the Single Burner (120V, 1100W) and (2) the longer cord should
be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled
on by children or tripped over unintentionally. If the plug does not t securely into the AC
outlet or if the AC plug or outlet feels
warm, do not use that AC outlet.
LIMPIEZA
1. Apague las hornillas girando su perilla de control a la posición de OFF.

limpiarla.

cordones de extensión disponibles que pueden usarse si se tiene cuidado. Si se usa
un cordón de extensión, asegúrese que: (1) la marca de su capacidad eléctrica por lo
menos sea igual a la carga eléctrica de la cocina (120V, 1100W) y; (2) tienda el cordón
de modo que no cuelgue del mostrador o la mesa para que los niños no tiren de éste o
las personas no se tropiecen accidentalmente. Si el enchufe no encaja en forma segura
en un tomacorriente de CA o el tomacorriente se calentase, no use este tomacorriente.
Un cuidado razonable de la hornilla asegurará muchos años de servicio. Evite dejar caer
artículos sobre las hornillas selladas o sus anillos.
