Turn ON/OFF the UPS
Turn on the UPS: Press the UPS On/OFF Switch for approx. 3 seconds, then the
Buzzer sounds twice, the UPS will be start-up.
Turn off the UPS: Press the UPS On/OFF Switch for approx. 3 seconds, then the
Buzzer sounds twice, the UPS will be shutdown.
4. Installation & usage
Inspection
Inspect the UPS upon receipt. Notify the carrier and dealer if there is
damage. The package is recyclable; save it for reuse or dispose of it
properly.
Placement
Install the UPS unit in any protected environment that provides adequate
airflow around the unit, and is free from excessive dust, corrosive fumes and
conductive contaminants. Do not operate your UPS in an environment where
the ambient temperature or humidity is high.

Connect the loads
First, connect the UPS with the AC Mains, then plug the loads into the
output connectors on the rear of the UPS. To use the UPS as a master
“On/Off” switch, make sure that all of the loads are switch “On”.
Caution: Do not connect a laser printer to the outlets. These UPS
outlets provide battery power and surge protection to the
equipment when utility voltage is outside acceptable limits.
Connect telephone / Network Surge protection
Connect a single line telephone or a 10 base-T / 100 base-T network
cable into the RJ-45 / RJ-11 telephone / network surge protection “IN”
jack on the back of the UPS. Connect from the “OUT” jack with
telephone cable or network cabling (not supplied) to a fax modem or
network port.

Software Installation on your PC
Connected by USB to a PC or notebook, the Software enables
communication between the UPS and the computer. The UPS software
monitors the status of the UPS, shuts down the system before the UPS is
exhausted and can remotely observe the UPS via the Network (enabling
users to manage their system more effectively). Upon AC failure or UPS
battery low, UPS takes all necessary actions without intervention from the
system administrator. In addition to automatic file saving and system shut-
down functions, it can also send warning messages via SMS, e-mail etc.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Plug the UPS into the wall outlet to charge the UPS for over 8 hours before
using the UPS.
Replacing The Battery:
Use a cross-type screwdriver to remove screws on bottom shell and
screws on backplane.
Take off the top cover
Loosen the black wire from the negative (-) terminal and red wire from
the positive (+) terminal.
Connect the battery leads to the new battery.
Note: Small sparks at the battery connectors are normal during
connection.
Fasten the screws mentioned in the first step.
Dispose of the old battery properly at an appropriate recycling facility.

To prevent the risk of fire or electric shock, install in a temperature and
humidity controlled indoor area, free of conductive contaminants.
Risk of electric shock, do not remove the cover. No user serviceable parts.
Refer servicing to qualified service personnel.
Risk of electric shock, hazardous live parts inside this UPS can be
energized from the battery supply even when the input AC power is
disconnected.
Risk of electric shock, Battery Circuit is not isolated from AC input,
hazardous voltage may exist between battery terminals and ground. Test
before touching.

USV ein-/ausschalten
USV einschalten: Halten Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter der USV etwa 3 Sekunden lang
gedrückt. Daraufhin werden zwei Signaltöne ausgegeben und die USV startet.

sich aus.
4. Installation & Verwendung
Prüfung
Prüfen Sie die USV bei Erhalt. Benachrichtigen Sie Spediteur und
Händler, falls etwas beschädigt sein sollte. Die Verpackung ist
recycelbar; zur Wiederverwendung aufbewahren oder
ordnungsgemäß entsorgen.
Aufstellung
Installieren Sie die USV in einer beliebigen geschützten Umgebung, die
angemessene Luftzirkulation rund um das Gerät bietet, frei von
übermäßigem Staub, korrosiven Dämpfen und leitenden
Verunreinigungen ist. Nutzen Sie ihre USV nicht in einer Umgebung, in
der die Umgebungstemperatur oder Feuchtigkeit hoch ist.

Lasten anschließen
Verbinden Sie die USV zunächst mit der Netzstromversorgung,
schließen Sie dann die Lasten an den Ausgängen an der Rückseite
der USV an. Stellen Sie zur Nutzung der USV als Master-„On/Off
(Ein/Aus)“-Schalter sicher, dass alle Lasten auf „On (Ein)“ eingestellt
sind.
Achtung: Schließen Sie keinen Laserdrucker an die Ausgänge an.
Diese USV-Ausgänge versorgen Geräte mit
Batterieleistung und schützen sie vor Überspannung,
wenn sich die Versorgungsspannung außerhalb
akzeptabler Grenzwerte befindet.
Telefon/Netzwerk-Ü berspannungsschutz verbinden
Verbinden Sie ein einzelnes Telefon- oder 10Base-T/100Base-T-
Netzwerkkabel mit dem RJ-45/RJ-11-Telefon-
/Netzwerküberspannungsschutzeingang an der Rückseite der USV.
Verbinden Sie den Ausgang über ein Telefonkabel oder
Netzwerkkabel (nicht mitgeliefert) mit einem Faxmodem oder
Netzwerkport.

Softwareinstallation auf Ihrem PC
Wenn das Gerät per USB mit einem PC oder Notebook verbunden ist,
ermöglicht die Software eine Kommunikation zwischen USV und
Computer. Die USV-Software überwacht den USV-Status, schaltet das
System ab, bevor die USV erschöpft ist, und kann die USV extern über
das Netzwerk beobachten (ermöglicht Nutzern die effektivere Verwaltung
ihres Systems). Bei einem Stromversorgungsfehler oder erschöpftem
USV-Akku, führt die USV alle notwendigen Schritte durch, ohne dass ein
Eingreifen durch den Systemadministrator erforderlich ist. Zusätzlich zur
automatischen Dateispeicherung und Systemabschaltung kann sie
außerdem Warnmeldungen per SMS, E-Mail etc. versenden.
Wichtiger Hinweis:
Schließen Sie die USV vor der Benutzung an eine Steckdose an und
laden sie mehr als 8 Stunden auf.
Batterie ersetzen:
Entfernen Sie Schrauben an Unterseite und Rückblende mit einem
Kreuzschraubendreher.
Ziehen Sie die Batterie vorsichtig aus der USV.
Lösen Sie den schwarzen Draht vom Minuspol (-) und den roten
Draht vom Pluspol (+).
Verbinden Sie die Batteriedrähte mit der neuen Batterie.
Hinweis: Kleine Funken beim Verbinden der Batterieanschlüsse sind
normal.
Ziehen Sie die im ersten Schritt erwähnten Schrauben fest.
Entsorgen Sie die alte Batterie ordnungsgemäß bei einer geeigneten
Recyclingstelle.
