Safety
• This product is only intended for indoor, household use.
• Make sure that thevoltage used is suitable for theappliance. Referto theproduct’s
rating plate.
• This product must not be used by anyone (including children) suffering from
physical or mental impairment. Thisproduct should not be used by anyone without
sufficient experience or knowledge unless they have been instructed in its use by
someone who will take full responsibility for their safety.
• Use only an earthed power point for this appliance.
• Always disconnect theappliance from thepower supply (unplug it) and set
thecontrol to Off before cleaning it or whenever it is not in use.
• To prevent electric shocks, theappliance and its power lead should be kept dry.
• Never lower theproduct into water or other liquids.
• Never lay thepower lead over hot surfaces or pull it round sharp edges or corners.
• Do not pull out theplug by directly pulling on thepower lead, pull theplug itself.
• The appliance becomes very hot during use, be careful not to touch any hot parts
with your bare hands.
• The mains lead should be checked regularly. Neveruse thedevice if thepower
lead or plug is damaged.
• The power lead must be changed if damaged. Thisis to prevent therisk of electric
shock or fire and should only be carried out by themanufacturer, qualified service
facility or qualified technician.
• Never let children use theappliance without adult supervision.
• Never use theproduct in thevicinity of other sources of heat e.g. thecooker.
• Never heat thecooking pot when it is empty.
• Do not use any accessories other than those provided with theproduct.
• Never use theproduct for anything other than its intended use.
• Never leave theproduct unsupervised when it is connected to an electrical socket.
• The cooking pot can also be used in amicrowave oven or conventional oven.
However, do not use thelid of thecooking pot in theoven or microwave.
• Always pull out theplug before filling or emptying thepot.
• Allow theappliance to cool before putting it away, take care not to damage
thepower lead.
• Use extreme caution if thepot contains hot oil or other hot liquids.
• Warning! Thisproduct can cause electrical shock or fires. Thehousing of
theappliance must never be used for warming anything without thecooking pot.

Product description
• Oval stoneware cooking pot with glass lid capable of holding 6.5 litres.
• The pot is easily removed for cleaning.
• Stainless steel housing with plastic handles.
• Three power settings for cooking.
Getting started
1. Unpacktheproduct and make sure to remove all packing and protective material.
2. Washthelid and cooking pot in water and alittle washing-up liquid before using
them for thefirst time.
3. Thecooking pot and lid can be rinsed in water. Thehousing however, should never
be submerged or rinsed with water. Thehousing should only be wiped with paper
towels or adamp cloth.

Operation
Control settings
There are three heat settings:
• Off – No heat (cooker turned off)
• Low – Low heat
• High – High heat
• Auto – “Keep warm” setting
Note: The Auto setting is only for keeping food warm. Foodshould only be cooked on
theLow or High setting and then thecooker should be set to Auto to keep thefood
warm.
Cooking
1. First, follow theinstructions in theGetting started section.
2. Preparetheingredients according to therecipe and place them into thecooking pot.
3. Plugthecooker into an earthed socket and set thecontrol knob (4) to theheat
setting (Low/High/Auto) needed for therecipe you are following. Theindicator
light should now be lit.
4. Whenthefood is ready, turn thecontrol to Off and unplug thecooker.
5. Emptythecontents of thecooking pot onto aserving dish or serve directly from
thepot.
6. Allowthepot and lid to cool before cleaning them.
Note:
• The cooking pot will become hot during thecooking process. Useoven gloves or
an oven cloth when handling thecooking pot.
• Lift thelid away from you to avoid being scalded by steam.
• Never place frozen food into thepot if it is warm or vice versa.
• The temperature in thepot will steadily increase to 120 °C regardless of whether
thecooker is set to Low or High. Thedifference between theheat settings is
thecooking time.
Cooking tips
• Certain ingredients are not suitable for slow cooking. Pasta, shellfish and dairy
products should be added not more than 2 hours before serving.
• Note that cooking times can vary depending on thetemperature and amount of
ingredients. Ingredientsin large pieces can require alonger cooking time.
• Do not fill thepot up to thetop; leave about 5 cm up to theedge so there is room
for boiling.

Care and maintenance
Cleaning
1. Alwaysdisconnect theplug from thesocket when cleaning theproduct.
2. Washthecooking pot and lid in warm water and washing-up liquid.
3. Thelid and pot can also be washed in thedishwasher. Thehousing must never
be submerged or rinsed in water. Thehousing should only be wiped with paper
towels or adamp cloth.
Looking after the cooking pot and lid
• If thepot and lid are well cared for they will last longer.
• Avoid exposing thepot and lid to sudden changes of temperature
such as placing them onto acold surface or into cold water.
• Do not expose thepot or lid to knocks or blows.
• Do not use thepot or lid if they are split or cracked.
• Do not use any sharp or abrasive utensils with this product.
Useplastic or wooden kitchen utensils.
Disposal
Follow local ordinances when disposing of this product.
Ifyou are unsure how to proceed, contact your local authority.

Säkerhet

• Vid användning uppnås höga temperaturer, var noga med att inte röra de heta
delarna direkt med händerna.
• Nätsladden bör regelbundet kontrolleras. Användaldrig apparaten om nätsladden
eller dess stickpropp är skadade.
• Om nätsladden skadats får den, för att undvika risk för elektrisk chock eller brand,
endast bytas av tillverkaren, dess serviceställe eller av enkvalificerad yrkesman.

• Grytan kan användas imikrovågsugn eller ugn. Använddock aldrig locket

• Dra ur stickproppen innan du fyller på eller tömmer ur grytan.
• Låt apparaten svalna innan den ställs undan till förvaring, se till att sladden inte
böjs eller skadas under förvaringen.
• Var mycket försiktig om grytan innehåller het olja eller andra heta vätskor.
• Varning! Riskför elektrisk chock eller brand. Apparatensunderdel får aldrig
användas utan gryta för att värma något i, grytan måste alltid användas.

Att komma igång
1. Packa upp produkten och se till att avlägsna allt förpacknings- och skyddsmaterial.
2. Diska lock och gryta ivarmt vatten med lite diskmedel före första användning.
3. Lock och gryta kan sköljas ivatten. Underdelenfår dock aldrig doppas eller sköljas
ivatten. Torkaendast av med hushållspapper eller lätt fuktad trasa.

Användning
Reglagets lägen
Reglaget justerar tillagningstemperaturen itre lägen:
• Off – Ingen värme (apparaten är avstängd)
• Low – Låg värme
• High – Hög värme
• Auto – Underhållsvärmning av maten
Obs! LägetAuto används endast för att underhållsvärma maten. Matenbör
endast tillagas iläget Low eller High och kan sedan slås över iläge Auto för
underhållsvärmning.
Tillagning
1. Följ först instruktionen iavsnittet Att komma igång.
2. Förbered ingredienserna enligt receptet och fyll grytan med ingredienserna.
3. Anslut stickproppen till ettjordat vägguttag och ställ in reglaget (4) för önskat
temperaturläge (Low / High / Auto) enligt receptet. Indikatorlampantänds.
4. När tillagningen är klar, sätt reglaget iläge Off och dra därefter ur stickproppen.
5. Töm ur grytans innehåll på ettserveringsfat eller servera direkt ur grytan.
6. Låt grytan och locket svalna innan rengöring.
Obs!
• Tänk på att grytan blir varm under tillagning. Användgrytvantar eller grytlappar när
du hanterar den.
• Luta grytan från dig för att undvika heta ångor när du lyfter locket.
• Lägg aldrig idjupfrysta matvaror igrytan om den är varm och vice versa.
• Temperaturen igrytan stiger sakta till 120 °C oavsett om inställningen är Low eller High.
Detsom skiljer mellan värmeinställningarna är tillagningstiden.
Tips vid tillagning
• Vissa ingredienser är inte lämpliga för långkok. Pasta, skaldjur, mjölk eller grädde
bör tillsättas tidigast 2 timmar före servering.
• Observera att tillagningstiderna kan variera beroende på temperatur och mängden
ingredienser. Störrebitar av ingredienserna kan innebära längre tillagningstider.
• Fyll inte grytan helt full, lämna ca 5 cm upp till grytans kant så att det finns plats
förkokning.

Skötsel och underhåll
Rengöring
1. Dra alltid ur stickproppen innan du rengör produkten.
2. Diska lock och gryta ivarmt vatten med lite diskmedel.
3. Lock och kärl kan även diskas idiskmaskin. Underdelenfår aldrig doppas ner
ieller sköljas ivatten. Torkaendast av med hushållspapper eller lätt fuktad trasa.
Hantering av kärl och lock
• Hantera gryta och lock varsamt för längre hållbarhet.
• Undvik plötsliga temperaturförändringar, utsätt t.ex. inte envarm gryta
eller ettlock för kallt vatten eller kalla ytor.
• Utsätt inte gryta och lock för hårda slag eller stötar.
• Använd inte grytan eller locket om de har sprickor eller grova repor.
• Använd inga vassa eller slipande redskap tillsammans med produkten.
Använd redskap iplast eller trä.
Avfallshantering
När du ska göra dig av med produkten ska detta ske enligt lokala föreskrifter.
