Safety
• Theproduct may be used by children of 8 years and above
and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capability or lack of experience and knowledge provided they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use
of theproduct in asafe way and understand thehazards
involved.
• Never let children play with theproduct.
• Cleaning and maintenance may be carried out by children but
only under adult supervision.
• Theproduct must always stand upright.
• Theproduct is only intended for normal domestic use and
only in themanner described in this instruction manual.
• Never sit, cover or place foreign objects on theproduct.
• Make sure that therubber plug in thedrain hose hole is
securely in place before turning theproduct on if it is not to be
used for continuous dehumidification.
• Make sure that theair filter is clean and correctly fitted before
turning theproducton.
• Never use theproduct if themains lead, plug or any other part
is damaged or does not work properly.
• Never try to dismantle or repair theproduct yourself.
• If theproduct needs to be used with anextension lead or
trailing socket, make sure that thelead used is suitable for
use with theproduct.

• Never plug in or unplug theproduct with wethands.
• Never insert foreign objects into theopenings in theproduct.
• Unplug theproduct immediately if it emits strange noises,
odours orsmoke.
• Unplug theproduct immediately if it tips over or if it is
splashed withwater. Contact aqualified service technician
before using theproductagain.
• Theproduct must not be covered in anyway. Makesure
that no foreign objects cover or block theair inlet/outlet.
Blockages can lead to fires, electric shocks or damage to
theproduct.
• Never use theproduct in areas where flammable liquids/
materials or gases (petrol, solvents, gas cylinders) are stored
orused.
• Unplug theproduct when it is not inuse.
• Never use themains lead plug for turning theproduct on
oroff. Usethepower switch on theproduct.
• Before theproduct is moved, make sure it is switched off,
unplugged and that thewater tank isempty.
• Never expose theproduct to running/splashing water or other
liquids. Liquid coming in contact with electrical components
can be extremely hazardous.
• Do not place theproduct where there is arisk of it falling into
water or other liquid. Donot place any objects which contain
liquid onto theproduct such as vases, drinks,etc.

Product description
This dehumidifier is adesiccant dehumidifier and can be used for drying air at tempe-
ratures in therange 1–40 °C. as opposed to anormal refrigerant dehumidifier which
works best at temperatures of 15°C andabove. Here’s how itworks:
1. Cold and damp air is passed through arotor which contains amoisture-adsorbent
desiccant material.
2. Themoisture is vaporised with thehelp of aheater and then passes through
acondenser where it is transformed intowater.
3. Thewater is either collected in atank or ahose is attached, inside diameter 10mm
(sold separately), between thedehumidifier and adrain (continuous dehumidification).

10. Timer setting indicators: If 8 hours is selected as thetimer setting, theindicator
shows 4 hours when 4 hours is remaining and 2 hours when 2 hours is remaining.
If4 hours is selected as thetimer setting, theindicator shows 2 hours when 2
hours is remaining.
11. Press repeatedly to select thetimer setting: 2, 4, or 8hours. Aftertheset time
has passed, thedehumidifier shuts off automatically.
12. Press repeatedly to adjust theair outlet louvre oscillation setting:
- 0–60°
- 30–90°
- Stop (thelouvre slats stop in theposition they are in when thebutton is pressed)

Placement
• Do not use thedehumidifier in aroom in which
thetemperature might fall to below 1°C.
• Make sure that thedehumidifier is standing
firmly on aflat surface capable of supporting
its weight even when thewater tank isfull.
• Make sure that themains lead is easily
accessible and is not damaged by sharp
edges or is crushed in any way duringuse.
• Thedehumidifier should be placed where it
can draw in air from theentirehouse.
• All interior doors should be opened.
Closeexterior doors and windows.
• If any part of your house suffers from severe
humidity, thedehumidifier can be placed
there first and then moved to another part of
thehouselater.
• Never place thedehumidifier next to
aradiator or heating appliance.
• Position thedehumidifier where theair can
circulate freely, allow at least 60cm of air
space above thedehumidifier and 40cm
around thesides.
Operating instructions
Note: Thefan runs at different speeds depending on thedehumidificationmode.
Whentheset threshold value has been reached thefan runs at maximum speed for
3minutes to enable all theheat and water to be pumpedout.
Example: Ifthedehumidifier was set to (medium) and therelative humidity
has reached approx. 60%, which is thethreshold value for themedium setting,
thefan speed will increase to maximum and thedehumidifier will continue to run for
3minutes. Thedehumidifier will then automatically switchoff.
1. Plug themains lead into awall socket.
2. Press to switch thedehumidifieron.
3. Make sure that thewater tank is pushed all theway in and positioned correctly.
Ifthetank is fitted incorrectly thedehumidifier will indicate that thetank is full and
will not work properly.
4. Select asetting as directed in theButtons and functions sectionabove.
5. Press again to turn thedehumidifieroff. Donot unplug thedehumidifier from
thepower point until thefan has stopped.

Note:
• Humidity is low during thewinter/spring. Ifthedehumidifier does not remove any
water it might be because thehumidity level is alreadylow.
• Make sure that therubber plug in thedrain hose hole is securely in place before
turning thedehumidifier on if it is not to be used for continuous dehumidification.
• Remember to empty thewater tank before moving thedehumidifier.
• Never use thedehumidifier without theair filter inplace.
• If thedehumidifier is switched off unintentionally such as by apower cut it will
automatically switch back on once thepower is restored.
Emptying the water tank
Note: Waitawhile before pulling thewater tank out once theindicator (14) has come on
and thedehumidifier has switched off so that all thewater has achance to dripdown.
1. When thewater tank is full theindicator (14) comes on and thedehumidifier
automatically switchesoff.
2. Carefully remove thewater tank, take thelid off and empty out thewater.
3. Clean and dry thetank and put thelid backon.
4. Slide thetank back intoplace. Thedehumidifier will automatically start
workingagain.
Continuous operation
When thedehumidifier is used in anenvironment with high humidity, thewater tank
will need emptyingoften. Insuch circumstances, it could be more practical to run
thedehumidifier continuously.
1. Remove therubber plug covering thedrain hose connection (7).
2. Connect adrain hose with aninside diameter of 10mm (sold separately).
Makesure that thedrain hose is secure and tight to prevent leakage.
3. Theother end of thedrain hose should be inserted into adrain which is lower than
thedrain hose connection on thedehumidifier.
4. Position thehose in such away that thewater can drain freely. Avoidkinking and
pinching thehose.
5. To discontinue continuous operation, switch thedehumidifier off, unplug it and
disconnect thedrainhose.
6. Re-insert therubber plug into thedrain hose connection.
7. Plug themains lead back in and switch thedehumidifier onagain.

Care and maintenance
Cleaning
• Always switch off and unplug thedehumidifier from thewall
socket before cleaningit.
• Clean theexterior of thedehumidifier using alightly
moistenedcloth. Useonly mild cleaning agents, never
solvents or corrosive chemicals. Washand rinse out
thewater tank at regular intervals. Makesure that it is
wipeddry before refittingit.
Filter
If thefilter is very dusty, it should be removed and vacuum
cleaned (see fig.).
Storage
Before putting thedehumidifier away for storage, make
sure that it is unplugged and that thewater tank is empty
anddry. Thedehumidifier should be stored in adry, dust-free
environment out of children’sreach.
Troubleshooting guide
Thedehumidifier
won’tstart.
• Make sure that themains lead is properly plugged in and
that there is power in thewall socket.
• Thewater tank is full or incorrectly fitted.
• Thehumidity is alreadylow.
Thehumidity is
not reducing.
• Thedehumidifier has not been used long enough.
• Make sure that nothing is preventing theair in theroom
where thedehumidifier is used from circulating properly.
• Make sure that no outdoor air can enter theroom in which
thedehumidifier is beingused.
• Theambient temperature is below 1°C.
• Is there aheat source in theroom which is raising
thehumidity?
Unusual
noises emitted
duringuse.
• Make sure that theair filter isclean.
• Thedehumidifier is tilted or standing on anuneven surface.
