1. Safety instructions
1. General information
A battery voltage that is too low can lead to erroneous measurement results, even if the LED is
still shining due to the residual voltage. Replace the battery or switch to continuous power.
Please note:
The built-in LED is not a laser diode. Nevertheless, please do not stare into the light
beam for a long time, as it has a high luminosity.
2. Transportation
Should further transportation be necessary, please always use the original packing material.
3. Service
If any servicing or repair of a Clearaudio product is necessary, please rst contact your dealer or
distributor. Alternatively contact Clearaudio directly and we will inform you about your nearest
service location.
PLEASE RETAIN ALL ORIGINAL PACKAGING.
You will need it if this product has to be transported and/or shipped.
Any further questions you may have about this product should be directed to your local dealer.

2. Usage of the
Speed Light
V2
The Clearaudio
Speed Light V2
is immediately ready for use with the batteries already installed or
with continuous power via micro-USB (cable not included in the scope of delivery).

Please note:
The
Speed Light V2
does not have a
rechargeable battery. Operation only possible
via battery or continuous current.
Put the stroboscope test record on your turntable and switch the turntable on at the speed to be
checked.
To set the optimal speed for the turntable with the
Speed Light V2
, hold the
Speed Light V2
about
2 – 4 inches (5 – 10 cm) over the
Stroboscope Testrecord
.

When the stroboscope lines stop in the white light and do not move visibly, you have the optimal
speed (33 1/3rpm outer ring, 45rpm inner ring).
- If the lines move clockwise, the speed is too fast.
- If the lines move anti-clockwise, the speed is too slow.
If the intensity of the light reduces, please change the battery, as described on the next page or
switch to continuous current.

3. Opening the housing
Using the allen key provided, loosen the four screws on top of the device and remove the cover.

Remove the circuit board by lifting it out of the
housing using the handle below the button. The
batteries are located on the backside of the circuit
board.
When inserting the new batteries, make sure that
the polarity is correct.
(The “+” on the battery must face up.)

1. Sicherheitshinweise
1. Allgemeine Hinweise
Eine zu niedrige Batteriespannung kann zu fehlerhaften Messergebnissen führen, auch wenn die LED
durch die Restspannung noch leuchtet. Ersetzen Sie die Batterie oder wechseln Sie auf Dauerstrom.
Bitte beachten:
Bei dem verbauten LED handelt es sich nicht um eine Laserdiode. Blicken Sie bitte
trotzdem nicht längere Zeit in den Lichtstrahl, da dieser eine hohe Leuchtkraft besitzt.
2. Transport
Sollte ein weiterer Transport erforderlich sein, verwenden Sie immer nur die Originalverpackung.
3. Service
Wenn eine Wartung oder Reparatur an einem clearaudio Produkt erforderlich ist, wenden Sie sich
bitte zuerst immer an Ihren Händler oder Vertriebspartner. Alternativ können Sie clearaudio direkt
kontaktieren und wir werden Sie über Ihre nächstgelegenen Servicestelle informieren.
Bewahren Sie die vollständige Originalverpackung auf. Sie benötigen diese, wenn das Produkt
transportiert und / oder verschickt werden soll. Alle weiteren Fragen zu diesem Produkt können Sie
an ihren örtlichen Fachhändler richten.

2. Verwendung des
Speed Light V2
Das clearaudio
Speed Light V2
ist durch die bereits eingesetzten Batterien oder durch Dauerstrom
mittels Micro-USB (Kabel nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten) sofort einsatzbereit.

Bitte beachten:
Das
Speed Light V2
verfügt nicht über einen
auadbaren Akku. Betrieb nur über Batterie
oder Dauerstrom möglich.
Legen Sie nun die Stroboskop LP auf Ihren
Plattenspieler und schalten Sie diesen auf die zu
überprüfende Geschwindigkeit ein.
Um die optimale Drehzahl des Plattenspielers mit
Hilfe des SPEED lights einzustellen, halten Sie das
SPEED light, je nach Umgebungshelligkeit, ca. 5 –
10 cm ruhig über die Stroboskop LP.

Wenn die Stroboskop-Striche im weißem Licht stehen bleiben und sich nicht mehr sichtbar bewegen,
haben Sie die optimale Drehzahl (33 1/3 rpm äußerer Ring, 45 rpm innerer Ring) eingestellt.
- Falls die Striche deutlich im Uhrzeigersinn wandern, ist die Geschwindigkeit zu schnell.
- Wenn die Striche deutlich gegen den Uhrzeigersinn wandern, ist die Geschwindigkeit zu langsam.
Falls die Leuchtkraft deutlich nachlässt, tauschen Sie bitte die Batterie, wie nachfolgend beschrieben
aus oder wechseln Sie auf Dauerstrom.

3. Önen des Gehäuses
Lösen Sie mithilfe des im Lieferumfang enthaltenen Innensechsrundschlüssel die vier Schrauben auf
der Oberseite des Gerätes und entfernen Sie die Abdeckung.

Entfernen Sie die Platine indem Sie diese an dem
Gri unterhalb des Tasters aus dem Gehäuse
herausheben. Die Batterien benden sich auf der
Unterseite der Platine.
Achten Sie beim Einsetzen der neuen Batterien auf
die korrekte Polarität.
(Das „+“ auf der Batterie muss nach oben zeigen.)
