Todothis,identifyyourselfasa"User",clickon"Parameters"andselectthe"Ethernetconfiguration"tab.

ConnectanRJ45cabletooneofthe2EthernetportsontheCIATControl.



Note:eachCIATControlhasadefaultDHCPsetting.



OnceanaddresshasbeenassignedtotheCIATControl,theactiveboardisdisplayed.



Select"Static"andentertheinformationsuppliedbythenetworkadministrator(orthatassignedbytheDHCPserver):

‐IPaddress

‐Subnetmask

‐Gateway



Clickon"Send"toconfirmtheconfiguration.



Note:ifseveralCIATControlsarepresentonthenetwork,pleasemodifythecomputername(defaultname:

CIATCONTROL)toauniquenametoavoidconflicts.TheCIATControlwillneedtoberestartedafterthenamehasbeen

modified.



declaredontheserver.

The"SETTINGS"menuisusedtomodifythefollowingparameters:

‐Booleanvalueistrue:appliestoallOPCitemscreatedwiththebooltype;iftheboxischecked,thevalue

codedfortrueis1;iftheboxisnotchecked,itis‐1.

‐Reconnectevery:frequencyofreconnectiontoastationdeclaredabsentonthenetwork.Whenastationis

declaredabsentafteralossofcommunication,theOPCserverusesthisfrequencytocheckthatthestation

hasreturnedtothenetwork

‐Refreshtime:waitingtimeactivatedwitheacheventpriortostationupdate.Thisisused,forexample,when

addingitemstothestationformonitoring:itisusedtosendthelistofitemstobemonitoredonceallthe

itemshavebeendeclared,ratherthanupdatingthestationeachtimeanitemisadded/deleted.Inparticular,

thissavestimewheninitialisingtheOPCserver

‐Disconnectiontime:waitingtimepriortodisconnectionofthelinkbetweentheOPCserverandthestationfor

whichnoitemsarereadbytheOPCserver

‐Dataservertestfrequency:cyclicaltesttocheckforthepresenceofthestation(useofthepingcommand)

‐TCPtimeout:configurationofthetimeoutperiodontheTCPcontrolwhencheckingforthepresenceofthe

stationonthenetwork

‐Nativetypeisstring:appliestoOPCitemsforwhichthetypeisdefinedasstringiftheboxischecked.

Otherwisethetypeisundefined

‐Addressseparator:characterusedtoseparatethedifferentfieldsoftheOPCaddress(devicefield,network

field,variablefield,etc.)



4. USE



TheOPCserverlaunchesautomaticallywhenanOPCclientattemptstocommunicatewiththeCIAT.CIATControlOPC

Server.DAserver.



AnyOPCclientcannowselecttheitemshewishestomonitor(seesections7to10fortheitemsavailableforeachtype

ofequipment).



TheOPCserverhasthefollowingbuttons:



‐Stations…:usedtocheckthestationsinterrogatedbytheOPCclient;itispossibletorefreshtheconnections

orattempttoreconnectifthereisalossofcommunicationwithoneofthestations.

‐Exit:usedtoclosetheOPCserver.Ifequipmentisaddedtotheserver,itisrecommendedtoshutdownthe

serverbeforeconfiguring,otherwiseanymodificationswillonlybetakenintoaccountoncetheOPCserveris

restarted.



‐Group:usedtoindicatetheitemsreadbytheOPCclient.Thefulladdressisindicated,aswellastherefresh

timeandvalue.



‐Badaddresses:usedtoindicateincorrectaddressesread/writtenbytheOPCclient.Iftheseaddressesdonot

exist,theywillbedirectlyplacedinthismenu.



‐Groupdetails:givesageneraloverviewoftheOPCserveraswellasthevalueoftheparameterssetintheOPC

serverconfigurator.



‐Filter:usedtoapplyafiltertotheitemslistedinthetable.Simplyenterthecharacterspresentintheaddress

ofeachitem.Thefilterrefreshesautomatically.

ImportantnotesfortheinstallationprocedureviaOPC:



‐Thevalueswrittenintheequipmentparametersarenotstoredinthedatabase.Whenreplacingthe

modules(inoperativemodule),theparametervaluesshouldbechangedagain.Onlythevaluessetviathe

CIATControlscreenarestoredinthedatabase.

‐TakecarewhenwritingtheparametervaluesforV3000typemodules.Whenaparameterismodified,the

V3000restartsautomatically.Itthenlosesthecontextinwhichitwasswitchedto"Auto"mode.Itwillnot

switchbacktothemoderequestedbythetimeschedulewhenthemodenextswitches.Topreventthis,the

OPCclientmustsendthecommandtotheV3000inordertomakeitswitchbacktothemodeitwasin

beforetherestart.

‐TheitemsavailableforeachpieceofequipmentaredisplayedinFrenchonly.



5. UNINSTALLING



Touninstallthesoftware,theOPCservermustbeshutdown,whichrequiresalltheOPCclientstobeclosed.



Doubleclickonthe"CIAT"iconinthebottomrightofthetaskbar.



Thefollowingwindowopens.Clickon"Exit"andconfirmthattheapplicationhasclosed.

In"Configurationpanel",clickon"ProgramandFunctions"(Win7)or"Add/Removeprograms"(WinXP/Win

Server2003/2007).



Select"CIATControlOPCServer"andclickonuninstall.Thefollowingwindowopens.Followtheinstructions.
