HOW TO MOUNT THE LENS TO C;:AMERA
11I Unscrew the flnder tube tightening SCrew to toke of the finder tube.
121 Take of a plastic cap on D-mount screw and Screw the lens into
the D-mount of your camera by turning the mount tightening ring
until the lens is fixed properly.
131 Screw the finder tube and make sure that the nnder mask is not
slant but is set horizontally.
DIOPTRIC ADJUSTMENT
Fix the distance scale at infinity and the focal length scale at 30mm.
Next turn the dioptric cdjustrnent ring until the mask edge is sharp and
clear. Then rotate the locking screw for dioptric cdjustrnent ring to
tighten to keep the dioptric odjustrnent ring in focus.
FOCUSING AND ZOOMING
Measure the distance from camero to subject ond rotate the focusing ring
until correct distance is indicated On the white line of the barrel.
Zooming can be mode
by
rotating the zooming lever, and when shooting
at a fixed focal length is desired set to keep the number at the white
line of the barrel. A red dot between numbers 10 and 15 .indicates 13,
which is a standard focal length of 8mm cine camera.
PRE.SET DIAPHRAGM
For single-lens reflexes on overage
it
is necessary to focus at
tull
aperture
and reset the diaphragm scale at the predetermined diaphragm after
focusing has been fixed.
However, there is NO SUCH PROBLEM SO FAR AS THE CHINON LENS
IS CONCERNED;
you
can look through the finder always at the state
of full aperture, irrespective of the pre-set diaphragm.
