This item is designed for use in closed hydronic systems. Do not use in

plumbing applications. This item does not meet the low-lead plumbing

standards of U.S. and Canada.

Connection: Inlet 3/4” NPT female

Exhaust 3/8” straight female

Maximum working pressure: 230 psig (16 bar)

Maximum venting pressure: 90 psig (6 bar)

Maximum venting rate: 8 scfm (225 Nl/min)

Working temperature range: -4 to 250˚F (-20 to 120˚C)

Body material: Brass

Installation

The vent is installed in the vertical position, on distribution manifolds in central boiler

application, on riser pipes and generally in parts of the system where a large concentration of

air pockets is to be expected.

Service Instructions

The seal seat operating mechanism is protected by a ne mesh strainer. If dirt, scale, pipe joint

compound or any other foreign materials becomes trapped in strainer, it may require cleaning.

Be sure the pressure has been reduced to zero and the system temperature is below 100ºF

(38ºC) before disassembly for cleaning. Failure to follow these instructions could result in

property damage and/or personal injury. A large O-Ring is tted between the cover and body

and between the venting mechanism and cover.

CAUTION:

Corrosion or leakage can cause damage or injury.

Periodically inspect for signs of corrosion or leakage. If corrosion or

leakage is note, the vent must be replaced. Failure to follow these

instructions could result in property damage and/or personal injury.

CAUTION:

System uids are under pressure or temperature can be

hazardous. Be sure the pressure has been reduced to zero and the

system temperature is below 100ºF (38ºC). Failure to follow these

instructions could result in property damage and/or personal injury.

CAUTION:

Uncontrolled venting of water can occur with the automatic

air vent if dirt, scale, pipe joint compound or any other foreign materials

becomes trapped in the operating mechanism. Failure to follow these

instructions could result in property damage and/or personal injury.
