Installation procedure and technical data

Cable routing:

1. The data cables are strain-relieved and

stripped directly after entering the cable

entry point.

Strip the cables to the required length (up

to the marked area (1) + approx. 10 cm)).

2. Very important: Pull insulating sheathing

over the auxiliary shielding wires.

3. Route the cable wires together with the

auxiliary shielding wire in the direction of

the marked area (1) (see next page for

maintenance position). 1

Slot Slot

Remove the top of the casing:

1. Press a screwdriver into the slots in the

bottom of the casing in order to raise the top

of the casing slightly.

2. Swing the bottom part of the top of the

casing approx. 45° relative to the bottom of

the casing. Pull off the top part to the front.

Fitting the bottom of the casing:

1. Cable entry points for recessed

cabling (1).

2. Cable entry points for surface-

routed cabling (2).

3. Cable entry point if the unit is

fitted over a recessed socket (3).

4. Recommended bolts 2x for 4x40

installation.

Insert top of casing into maintenance position:

1. A retaining clip is located at the lower

left side of the bottom of the casing

for holding the top of the casing in

the maintenance position.

2. Hook the top of the casing into

the retaining clip from the side.

Connect data cable:

1. Solder the cable wires and auxiliary shielding wires onto the connectors.

2. Route the cable wires so as not to impair the correct functioning of the pcb

(e.g. tamper switch).

Fit the top of the casing:

1. Remove the top of the casing from the maintenance position and fit it into the

top of the bottom section at an angle of approx. 45°.

2. Swing the top section of the casing downwards and press it firmly until it snaps

into the bottom section.

Sealing the unit:

1. Twist a locking screw

(contained in the accessories pack)

from below into the casing.

2. Seal the screw. Locking screw and seal

Attach service card:

1. Swing down the control console flap of the BE 300 LSN.

2. Stick the service card with the telephone No. of the service centre and ID

number onto the inside of the flap.
