POST SPRAY
After use, fill the tank partially with water. Start
the sprayer and allow clear water to be pumped
through the system and through the spray nozzles.
Refill the tank about halfway with water and use a
chemical neutralizer, such as “Nutra-Sol”, or equiv-
alent, and repeat cleaning process above. A mixture
of water and detergent, such as “Dawn” dish soap
can be used as an alternative.
Once complete, flush system with plain water an
additional time. Follow the chemical manufactur-
er’s disposal instructions.
If you have added a boom system to your sprayer,
remove the tips and screens from the nozzle assem-
blies. Rinse these out thoroughly.
Blow the orifice clean and dry. If it remains clogged,
use a fine bristle (NOT WIRE) brush. Take care not
to damage the orifice.
WARNING: Some chemicals will damage the pump valves
if allowed to soak untreated for a length of time. ALWAYS
flush the pump as instructed after each use.
WINTERIZATION/LONG TERM STORAGE
Drain all water from sprayer, with special attention
to the pump, wand/gun and valve(s).
Pump a solution of RV antifreeze through the sys-
tem. This solution should remain in the plumbing
system until ready for next use.
When ready to use again, rinse the entire system,
clearing the lines of the solution.
TROUBLESHOOTING
PUMP WILL NOT RUN:
• Check in-line fuse (if applicable)
• Make sure switches are in ‘on’ position
• Make sure battery is fully charged
• Check battery connection
If none of the above work, pull the wires off the
pressure switch and short them out. If pump runs,
the pressure switch needs to be replaced.
PUMP RUNS, BUT DOES NOT PRIME:
• Check strainer in tank and clean, if necessary
• Check that bypass valve is closed (if equipped)
• Clean the check valve assembly.
Unscrew the head portion of the pump and re-
move the check valve assembly from the inside.
Be sure to remove the O-ring as well. Clean these
pieces with hot, soapy water. You may want to soak
the valve, as well as scrub it with a toothbrush.
Rinse the pieces and reassemble for test.
WARNING
DO NOT USE PUMP IN AN EXPLOSIVE ENVIRONMENT.
DO NOT USE TO PUMP FLAMMABLE FLUIDS, INCLUDING
GASOLINE, KEROSENE, OIL, ETC.
CAUTION
PUMP PRESSURE SWITCH IS PRESET AT THE FACTORY. IMPROPER
ADJUSTMENT MAY CAUSE SEVERE OVERLOAD OR EARLY FAILURE. IF
PUMP IS SUBJECTED TO RAPID CYCLING DURING NORMAL OPERATION,
DAMAGE MAY OCCUR
