Description and Contents of the kit
Purpose of the
Kit
The kit is designed to be mounted on ELM projectors to support the polarizer in front of
the lens. The kit contains material to adapt 2 projectors for passive stereo display (Left
and Right channel).
Application of the
Kit
The 3D kit is a solution which will allow the user to display his preferred 3D
application using passive stereo technology. It is ideally suited for 3D projection
in high ambient light using a simple and low cost pair of glasses with polarization
filters. The large and bright image will be appreciated by engineering and devel-
opment teams from various industries to setup collaborative environments using
stereovision technology. This is a perfect solution for 3D computerized data and
stereo video presentations for educational or promotional purposes.

Mounting the Support Rods
What has to be
done
Two support rods have to be mounted onto the rigging points.
Necessary Tools A spanner for M6 (No 8)
Mounting the
suport bars
To mount the support rods, follow the next procedure:

Put a rod fixation block into the front rigging points, lining
up the holes with the holes in the rigging points.
Run the support rod through the holes in the rigging point
and the rod fixation block.
Secure the position (see further) of the rods by tightening
the 2 screws (A) on the fixation blocks.
Attention: To allow later on the adjustment of the distance
between polarization filter and front lens, dont tighten the
screws too hard.

Mounting the Cross Lath
What has to be
done
A cross lath has to be mounted on the rods. In case the rods run not parallel, the
rigging points have to be loosen a little.
Necessary Tools A flatblade screwdriver for M5 (No 7) and an Allen Key No 8.

Mounting the
cross lath
To mount the cross lath, follow the next procedure:

Slide the cross lath (A) over the rods.
Important note:
1. If the rods run not parallel, loosen a Little the 3 fixation
screws (C) of the rigging points.
2. Slide the cross lath on the rods until the top of the rods
just suits the front of the lath.
Secure the position of the lath with the 2 screws (B). Dont
forget to fasten the rigging points again.

Mounting the Horizontal Shift Lath
What has to be
done
To allow horizontal shift adjustment of the filter, a lath has to be mounted on the cross
lath.
Necessary Tools A flatblade screwdriver for M3 (No 5.5)
Mounting the
shift lath
To mount the shift lath, follow the next procedure:

Place the horizontal shift lath (A) on the front side of the
cross lath, lining up the threaded studs with the slots in the
cross lath.
Secure the position of the lath with the 2 screws (B). Dont
tighten the screws too hard because a horizontal adjust-
ment of the polarizer has still to be done.

Mounting the Vertical Shift Plate
What has to be
done
To allow vertical shift adjustment of the filter, a plate with vertical slots has to be
mounted on the horizontal shift lath. This plate is also the support plate for the filter.
Necessary Tools A flatblade screwdriver for M3 (No 5.5)

Mounting the
shift plate
To mount the shift plate, follow the next procedure:

Place the vertical shift plate (A) on the front side of the
horizontal shift lath, lining up the threaded studs with the
slots in the vertical shift plate.
Secure the position of the plate with the 2 screws (B). Dont
tighten the screws too hard because a vertical adjustment
of the polarizer has still to be done.
