Operation and Mounting
To activate the device, plug it into a mains socket. Once it's connected to an active power source, it will turn
on automatically.
During start-up, the device’s display will indicate its start-up status and can’t e used. The moving head may
vi rate as it cali rates the stepper motors. Once the device has fully started up, it will jump to the last-used
mode. Operation modes and other settings shown on the display can now e adjusted or changed y means
of the menu uttons.
The ERO 075 has a colour display for access to the various operating modes, as well as user adjusta le
settings.
Should the device detect a DMX signal, it will automatically switch to DMX mode and will display the last-
used address. For new devices, this will normally e DMX address 001. Of course, you can change the DMX
address via the display using the menu uttons.
Using the display and the menu uttons, you can adjust the functions and settings of the device. Press
'Enter' to confirm an adjustment or select a function, use ‘Up’ and ‘Down’ to change amounts and ‘Menu’ to
go ack to the menu.
CONFIRMING OPERATING MODES
Please note If you want to use the device in automatic or sound-controlled mode, first confirm the action y
adjusting the value. Next, use the ‘Up’ and ‘Down’ arrows to navigate to the ‘X’ at the top of the display and
press ‘Enter’ to return to the main menu. Only then will your selected actions e executed.
Confirming with ‘Enter’ and returning to the main menu via the ‘Menu’ utton will only result in returning to
the main menu, without saving and executing your desired actions.
The menu is divided into segments and contains the following options and functions
ADDR
With this function, you can determine the DMX start address of the device. Set it channel 001, and the
device will read DMX channel 1. Set it to channel 003, then the device will read DMX channel 3, etc.
As soon the DMX address is encircled in lue, it can e changed y pressing ‘Enter’ and using the navigation
uttons to enter the correct address. Press ‘Enter’ to confirm or press ‘Menu’ to cancel.
This menu also contains ‘prev’ and ‘next’ functions. These are convenient when you’re working with multiple
devices. When you press ‘prev’ or ‘next’, 14 channels are moved forwards or ackwards so the DMX index
can e automatically adjusted. This way, you’re a le to link device 1 with channel 1, device 2 with channel
15, etc.
The ‘CHAN’ function is normally used to access another DMX channel mode. This product, however,
supports no DMX modes other than the 14-channel DMX mode.
MODE
This menu allows you to fully customise your moving head’s operating mode using the following functions
and values:
- Auto mode: Auto, Sound, Scene
- Scene mode: Auto, 1-10

static light image that can e recalled at any time. This is a practical feature for situations that require static
ut accurate lighting.
There are a total of 10 customisa le scenes, which can e used in play mode to activate a sound-controlled
programme that alternates etween scenes, depending on the time set per scene.
Naturally, it’s also possi le to continuously and statically highlight a specific o ject or point onstage.
The ‘SCENE’ mode allows control over:
- Scene-selection
- Scene-time (in seconds)
- Pan/Pan fine
- Tilt/Tilt fine
- Pan/Tilt speed
- Dimmer (255 = fully open)
- Stro e (255 = fully open)

LED operating times, total operating time, possi le error logs, etc.
This makes planning maintenance intervals and trou leshooting pro lems even easier.
In the overview you’ll find:
- Step motor info (current values)
- Error log

ADVA
The Advanced mode contains more additional functionalities that are usually exclusively used y product
specialists.
- Pan invert (invert horizontal movement)
- Tilt invert (invert vertical movement)
- Pan / Tilt auto-correction (automatic correction in case of sudden movement)
- Pan offset (motor correction of starting point for horizontal movement)
- Tilt offset (motor correction of starting point for vertical movement)
- Data hold (remem er the last received signal in case of signal loss)
- Reset (resets the device after confirmation)
Operating Modes
The following overview clearly explains the different operating modes, supported by the
aforementioned menu functions
Auto
In automatic mode, choose one of the operating modes where the device is not dependent on external
factors (such as a sound-controlled signals or the presence of noise). Choose one of the asic programs and
set the options such as the switching speed or the intensity correction, if desired.
Sound
When in Sound-controlled mode, the device's internal microphone detects the music and reacts to the eat.
The device will move in sync with the music and provide an automated light show.
When there is no music for the device to detect or when only high frequencies are audi le, the device will
wait in its last triggered position. As soon as the microphone detects music again, it will resume the
automated program and follow the eat.
Slave
In Slave mode, you can daisy-chain multiple devices of the same type so they all function a specific way.
This way you can coordinate your light show y having multiple separate devices moving the same way
instead of all different directions, which can e chaotic. Basically, you can connect an unlimited num er of
slave devices to a master device, ut a DMX ooster is required in etween. Generally speaking, you can
connect up to four armatures together without the need for a DMX ooster.
Be aware that when you attempt to connect devices of different types and rands, they may ehave
strangely and you may not get the desired effect ecause certain functions are linked to the wrong channels.
This is true of DMX lighting of all rands and types.
Always ensure that the first device in your circuit is set as the Master device and that it is executing the
desired programme. Any other devices can su sequently e set to Slave mode one y one, so they shall
receive the commands from and emulate the Master device’s programme.
DMX
The DMX mode is the most comprehensive way to maintain ultimate control over all the functions this device
has to offer. It ena les you to determine exactly how many functions you want to control via the DMX
controller or DMX software.
Using the 14 DMX-channels, it’s possi le to control the functions of the moving head via an external lighting
desk to create and trigger even more complex programmes that allow multiple (different) armatures to work
together.
This device can e set to various channel modes so the channel layout, which is shown elow, corresponds
