IMPORTANT INFORMATION
AUGUSTE REYMOND (Auguste Reymond S.A.) has always been one
of the pioneers of high quality watches. Before changing any settings,
please read and follow the inscriptions given below :
As first operation, please pull out the crown to the last position to change
the time. Now move the hands until the hour hand is somewhere in the
lower half between 3 o’clock and 8 o’clock. Do never try to change the
date while the hour hand is between 9 o’clock and 3 o’clock. The move-
ment might be in the process of changing the date and by changing the
date with the crown in that moment, you might damage the movement.

QUICK STEPS – the main points in 5 minutes
• To use your watch carefully you should read this entire booklet but if you do
not, read at least these quick steps.
• To set time and date of your watch you pull out the crown in the second po-
sition. Turn the crown counter-clockwise and move your hands until they pass
over 12 o’clock. If in that moment the date changes you continue until you
reach the time you want to set. Be aware of morning and afternoon (hands
need to move a second time over 12 o’clock). To set the date push the crown
in and pull it out to the first position. Turn the crown until you find the date to
set. Do never try to change the date/day/month/moon while the hour hand
is between 9 o’clock p.m. and 3 o’clock a.m. The movement migh be in the
process of changing the date and by changing the date with the crown in that
moment, you might damage the movement.
• Your watch is water-resistant but gaskets may dry out. Give it regularly, at
least 1 time per year, to check the water resistance.
• To guarantee a long life of your watch, you should mandate every 3 years an
authorised watchmaker to make a full service.
• A leather strap is a natural product and needs to be replaced after 6 to 10
months.
• At the end of this booklet you will find your service passport. The service
centre should register each service and you will have the tracking of each
established service.
• On our homepage www.augustereymond.ch you will always find a list of our
authorised service centres.

• We offer for your watch an international warranty of 2 years for material
and manufacturing defects. Keep your purchase document and take care the
warranty card is filled out by the retailer. You can extend your warranty to 3
years (1 more year) by joining My AR. Please register within 3 months after
your purchase on www.augustereymond/myARcare. For any warranty repair
we would need the filled out original warranty card, a copy of the purchase
document and your AR extension code if you have a warranty extension.

In an AR watch, there are several notions of time. The time it took to imagine
and design it, the time to manufacture it, the time that will be shown on the
watch and finally the individual time of its future owner.

Brief history
The history of Auguste Reymond S.A. beginns in 1898, when a young man of
twenty-six years old rented a small apartment in Tramelan, in the Jura moun-
tains, and hired a handful of watchmakers to start manufacturing watches that
would bear his name.
By 1910, his modest business had grown into a huge factory that employed
100 people in its own premises. The well appreciated movements produced by
the Manufacture A. Reymond, worldwide known under the name UNITAS, were
famous for its reliability and its price, were also supplied to numerous other
watch manufacturers.
Today, as far as in the past, still the same values are important. Since 2019,
AUGUSTE REYMOND continues its development. Philip W.A. Klingenberg is
the CEO and independent brand owner based in Nidau near Bienne. He de-
cides to continue to build reliable watches and sets the mission to develop a
new relationship with Time…

paying very special attention to harmonious, timelesss designs that generate
good energy. In this quest for Beauty, we design watches according to Mathe-
matical principales and in particular the Golden Ratio or the Divine Proportion.
An AR watch has therefore been imagined and designed to accompany its
future owner every day, on their life’s path. It will hold a symbolic role because
it will carry within it a whole chapter of the story of the person who wears it…
To enable your watch to give you many years of perfect precision service, we
recommand you to follow very carefully the advices contained in this user’s
manual.

WARRANTY
Your AUGUSTE REYMOND® watch is warranted by AUGUSTE REYMOND
S.A. for a period of twenty-four (24) months after the date of purchase (and
36 months if you extended your warranty by joining myARcare on the website
www.augustereymond.ch), respecting the terms and conditions in this warranty
chapter. The international AUGUSTE REYMOND warranty covers material and
manufacturing defects.
The warranty only comes into force if the warranty card is dated, fully and
correctly completed with model number and serial number, and stamped by an
official AUGUSTE REYMOND® dealer. During the warranty period and by pre-
senting the valid original warranty card and a copy of the purchase document,
you will have the right to have any defect repaired free of charge.
In this manufacturer’s warranty are excluded following points :
• The end of life of the battery,
• Normal using and normal aging (e.g. changing colour and/or material of
non metallic straps and chains, such as leather, textile, rubber ; peeling off
the plating, scratched crystal),
• Accidents (knocks, dents, crushing, broken crystal, etc.), lack of care, any
damage on any parts of the watch resulting from abusive use, incorrect use of
the watch and non-observance of the use directions provided by AUGUSTE
REYMOND S.A.
• The AUGUSTE REYMOND® watch handled by non-authorised persons (e.g.
for services or repairs or battery replacements ) or which has been altered in
its original condition beyond AUGUSTE REYMOND S.A.’s control,
• Also excluded are indirect or consequential damages of any kind resulting
from e.g. the use, the non-functioning, the defects or the inaccuracy of the
AUGUSTE REYMOND® watch,
• Any further claims against AUGUSTE REYMOND S.A. e.g. for damages ad-
ditional to the above described warranty is expressly excluded, except man-
datory statutory rights, the purchaser may have against the manufacturer.

THE ABOVE MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY :
• Is independent of any warranty that may be provided by the seller, for which
he carries sole responsability,
• Does not affect the purchaser’s rights against the seller nor any other manda-
tory statutory rights the purchaser may have against the seller,
• The AUGUSTE REYMOND S.A.’s customer service in Nidau ensures the
perfect maintenance of your AUGUSTE REYMOND® watch. If your watch
needs attention, contact an official AUGUSTE REYMOND® retailer or an
authorised AUGUSTE REYMOND® Service Centre in your country : they can
guarantee service according to AUGUSTE REYMOND S.A.’s standards.
REPLACING THE BATTERY
An empty battery should be replaced immediately in order to reduce the risk of
leakage and consequent damage to the movement. We recommend that you
contact an approved AUGUSTE REYMOND® Service Centre or authorised
AUGUSTE REYMOND® retailer, as they are equipped with the tools and appa-
ratus required to carry out the work and the necessary checks in a professional
manner.

WARRANTY EXTENSION
You can extend your warranty to three (3) years instead of two (2) years, by
joining my AR care. Please register withing 3 months after your purchase on
www.augustereymond.ch/myARcare. You will get a code that you have to keep
for extension validation.
You can also scan the QR code on your warranty card which will redirect you
on the www.augustereymond.ch/myARcare as well.

PRECAUTIONS AND PREVENTIVE MEASURES
Before making any settings, please adhere to the instructions given herafter.
WATER RESISTANCE
Never activate the time-setting crown and/or the pushers while the watch is
under water and make sure that the crown has been pushed/screwed down
tightly after every operation. Do not under any circumstances open the watch
yourself ; arrange to get it inspected by an authorised AUGUSTE REYMOND®
Service Centre only.
The water resistance of a watch cannot permanently be guaranteed. It may be
affected by ageing of gaskets or by accidental shock to the crown. We recom-
mend that you have the water resistance of your watch checked once a year by
an authorised AUGUSTE REYMOND® Service Centre.
Screw down crown : To ensure greater water resistance, certain watches are
equipped with a screwed down crown. Don’t forget to screw the crown ;
otherwise the watch has only a reduced water resistance.

TEMPERATURE
Do not expose your watch to sudden temperature changes (exposure to sun
light followed by immersion in cold water) or extreme temperatures (over 59°C
(140°F) or below 5°C (32°F)).
MAGNETIC FIELDS
Do not expose your watch to strong magnetic fields such as loudspeakers,
portable telephones, computers or refrigerators and other electromagnetic ap-
pliances.
SHOCKS
All our watches are shock resistant for the normal daily use. For a long life
care, avoid thermal or other shocks, as it may harm your watch. In the event of
a violent shock, please have your watch checked by an authorised AUGUSTE
REYMOND® Service Centre.
HARMFUL PRODUCTS
Avoid direct contact with solvents, detergents, perfumes, cosmetic products
etc., since they may damage the bracelet, the case or the gaskets of the case.
CARE AND CHECKS
Clean the case and bracelet regularly using a soft cloth to prevent any corro-
sion caused by perspiration. All water resistant watches can be cleaned with a
toothbrush and soapy water, and then dried with a soft cloth. After being worn
in the sea, the watch must be rinsed with warm fresh water and then dried
completely.
