choix et de votre confiance. Nous espérons qu’il vous apportera une entière satisfaction.

Quelques conseils :

Lisez la notice avant de commencer l’installation de l’appareil.

Coupez le courant avant le raccordement de l’appareil et vérifiez la tension d’alimentation.

Conservez la notice, même après l’installation de l’appareil.

Caractéristiques de l’appareil (indiquées sur l’étiquette signalétique de l’appareil):

IP24 :Appareil protégé contre les projections d’eau.

Classe II : Double isolation.

I - INSTALLATION DE L’APPAREIL

1) Où installer l’appareil ?

- Cet appareil a été conçu pour être installé dans un local rési-

dentiel. Dans tout autre cas, veuillez consulter votre distribu-

teur.

- L’installation doit être faite dans les règles de l’art et confor-

me aux normes en vigueur dans le pays d’installation (NFC

15100 pour la France).

- Si vous avez un revêtement mural posé sur mousse il faut met-

tre une cale sous le support de l’appareil d’épaisseur égale à

celle de la mousse afin de conserver un espace libre derrière

pour ne pas perturber sa régulation.

Ne pas installer l’appareil:

Dans un courant d’air susceptible de

perturber sa régulation (sous une

ventilation Mécanique Centralisée, etc…)

Sous une pise de courant fixe.

Dans le volume 1 des salles de bains

Dans le volume 2 si la manipulation

des commandes est possible par une

personne utilisant la douche ou la baignoire.

Il est fortement déconseillé de monter les appareils verticaux au-dessus d’une

altitude de 1000 m (risque de mauvais fonctionnement).

L’installation d’un appareil en altitude provoque une élévation de la température de sortie

d’air (de l’ordre de 10° par 1000m de dénivelé).

Il est interdit de monter un appareil vertical horizontalement et vice-versa.

2) Comment installer l’appareil ?

2-1) Fixer votre appareil :

Versions : Standard - Haut

- Poser la patte d’accrochage au sol (schéma 3.0-1).

- Pointer les trous en haut de l’oblong, ceux-ci donnent la position

des fixations inférieures.

- Remonter la patte d’accrochage en faisant coïncider les trous pré-

cédemment repérés afin de pointer les deux trous restant (schéma

3.0-2).

- Procéder au perçage et à la mise en place des chevilles.

- Monter le support

- Réaliser le raccordement électrique (Cf Chap. 2.2).

- Accrocher l’appareil et tourner le ou les verrous V

(schémas 3.1 & 3.2) vers la droite pour bloquer l’appareil.

Version Plinthe - Bas

- Pointer les trous en respectant les cotes données sur le schéma 4.

- Procèder au perçage et à la mise en place des chevilles.

- Monter le support

-Réaliser le raccordement électrique (Cf Chap. 2.2).

- Accrocher l’appareil et tourner le ou les vérrous V (schéma 5)

vers la droite pour bloquer l’appareil.

Remarque : Il est possible de fixer la version plinthe au sol grâce aux pieds fournis en option.

2-2 ) Raccorder l’appareil :

- L’appareil doit être alimenté en 230V 50Hz.

- Le raccordement au secteur se fera à l’aide d’un câble

3 fils (Marron=phase, Bleu=neutre, Noir=fil pilote) par

l’intermédiaire d’un boîtier de raccordement. Dans des

locaux humides comme des cuisines, il faut installer le

boîtier de raccordement au moins à 2.5 cm du sol

- L’installation doit être équipée d’un dispositif de cou-

pure omnipolaire ayant une distance d’ouverture d’au

moins 3 mm.

- Le raccordement à la terre est interdit.

Ne pas brancher le fil pilote (noir) à la terre.

- Si le câble d’alimentation est endommagé, il doit être

remplacé par le fabricant ; son service après-vente ou

une personne de qualification similaire afin d’éviter un

danger.

- Si l’appareil pilote ou piloté est protégé par un diffé-

rentiel 30mA (ex :salle de bain) il est nécessaire de pro-

tégé l’alimentation du fil pilote sur ce différentiel.

II - COMMENT UTILISER VOTRE APPAREIL ?

1) Description du panneau de commande

2) Régler la température CONFORT

C’est la température souhaitée pendant l’occupation de la pièce.

a) Mettez le curseur sur ,le voyant V3 s’allume.

b) Réglez la molette sur 5, le voyant de chauffe V1 s’allume si la température ambiante est inférieure à celle

désirée.

c) Attendez quelques heures pour que la température se stabilise.

d) Si le réglage vous convient (prendre éventuellement un thermomètre pour vérifier), repérez la position une fois

pour toute.

Si le réglage ne vous convient pas, ajustez le réglage et reprenez au point c.

3) Régler la température ECO

C’est la température souhaitée pendant les périodes d’inoccupation de la pièce. Il est conseillé d’utiliser ce mode

pour des périodes d’absence supérieures à 2 heures.

a) Mettez le curseur sur , le voyant V2 s’allume

b) Réglez la molette entre 3 et 4, le voyant de chauffe V1 s’allume si la température ambiante est inférieure à

la consigne des température Eco désirée

c) Attendez quelques heures pour que la température se stabilise.

d) Si le réglage vous convient (prendre éventuellement un thermomètre pour vérifier), repérez la position une fois

pour toute.

Si le réglage ne vous convient pas, ajustez et reprenez au point c).

4) Mode Hors Gel

C’est le mode qui permet de maintenir la température à environ 7°C dans la pièce lors d’une absence prolongée de

la maison (généralement plus de 24 heures).

Mettez le curseur sur sur ❄

5) Le témoin de chauffeV1

Ce témoin indique les périodes pendant lesquelles l’appareil chauffe. A température stabilisée, il clignote.

Si la température est trop élevée, il s’éteint.



6) Arrêt de l’appareil

Pour mettre l’appareil en position Arrêt, positionnez le curseur sur

Il est possible de bloquer ou limiter la plage d’utilisation des molettes et 

a) Décrochez l’appareil de son support mural.

pour limiter la plage d’utilisation des molettes.

Choisissez une des positions Mpour bloquer le curseur dans le mode désiré.

8) Mode de programmation

Cet appareil est équipé d’un thermostat capable de recevoir des ordres par son fil pilote. Il reconnaît les ordres :

- CONFORT : Température réglée par la molette 

- CONFORT –1 : Température réglée par la molette : -1°C

- CONFORT –2 : Température réglée par la molette : -2°C

- ECO : Température réglée par la molette .

- HORS GEL : Température ambiante maintenue à environ 7°C

- ARRET : Arrêt immédiat de l’appareil (utilisé pour le délestage).

Pour activer le mode de programmation, positionnez le curseur sur

Ainsi en connectant le fil pilote sur un programmateur, vous pouvez programmer vos périodes de température

Confort et Eco. Il est possible de brancher sur un programmateur plusieurs appareils et de réaliser ainsi des éco-

nomies d’énergie.

NB : En cas d’absence d’ordre sur le fil pilote, l’appareil chauffe en mode Confort. Les ordres HG et délestage sont

prioritaires par rapport aux modes Eco et Confort. Lors d’un passage du mode Confort vers le mode Eco, le

temps de basculement est de l’ordre de 12 secondes.

III - CONSEIL D’UTILISATION

- Il est inutile de mettre l’appareil au maximum, la température de la pièce ne montera pas plus vite.

- Lorsque vous aérez la pièce, couper l’appareil en mettant le curseur sur

- Si vous avez plusieurs appareils dans une pièce, laissez les fonctionner simultanément, vous aurez ainsi une tem-

pérature plus homogène sans pour autant augmenter la consommation d’électricité.

Mise en garde

Eviter que les enfants ne s’appuient sur la façade de l’appareil.

Il est interdit d’obstruer totalement ou partiellement les grilles

( de façade ou inférieure ) de l’appareil. Il y a risque de surchauffe.

Veillez à ne pas introduire d’objets ou du papier dans l’appareil.

Toutes interventions à l’intérieur de l’appareil doivent être

effectuées par un professionnel qualifié.

Entretien

Pour conserver les performances de l’appareil il est nécessaire environ deux fois par an d’effectuer à l’aide d’un aspi-

rateur ou d’une brosse le dépoussiérage des grilles inférieure et supérieure de l’appareil.

Tous les cinq ans faire vérifier l’intérieur de l’appareil par un professionnel.

En ambiance polluée, des salissures peuvent apparaître sur la grille de l’appareil. Ce phénomène est lié à la mauvai-

se qualité de l’air ambiant. Il est conseillé, dans ce cas, de vérifier la bonne aération de la pièce (ventilation, entrée

d’air, etc...) et la propreté de l’air. Ces salissures ne justifient pas le remplacement sous garantie de l’appareil.

La carrosserie de l’appareil peut être nettoyée avec un chiffon humide, ne jamais utiliser de produits abrasifs.

L’appareil ne chauffe pas :

Vérifier que le programmateur est en mode CONFORT.

S’assurer que les disjoncteurs de l’installation sont enclenchés, ou bien que le délesteur (si vous en avez un) n’a

pas coupé l’alimentation de l’appareil.Vérifier la température de l’air de la pièce.

L’appareil ne suit pas les ordres de programmation :

S’assurer de la bonne utilisation de la centrale de programmation (se reporter à son manuel d’utilisation) ou que

la cassette de programmation est bien engagée dans son logement et qu’elle fonctionne normalement (piles ?)

L’appareil chauffe tout le temps :

Vérifier que l’appareil n’est pas situé dans un courant d’air ou que le réglage de température n’a pas été modifié.

Cet appareil à régulation électronique contient un microprocesseur pouvant être perturbé par certains parasites

secteurs important ( Hors normes CE définissant le niveau de protection aux parasites ).

En cas de problèmes ( thermostat bloqué, …) couper l’alimentation de l’appareil ( fusible, disjoncteur, …) pendant

environ 10 mm pour faire repartir l’appareil.

Si le phénomène se reproduit fréquemment, faire contrôler l’alimentation par votre distributeur d’énergie.

Some recommendations :

Please read the documentation before starting to install the panel heater.

Disconnect power before working on the panel heater.

Conserve the documentation, even after installation of the panel heater.

Equipment specification (indicated on the label of the device):

CAT B or C : device satisfying the requirements of the NF Electricité Performance

(French electricity performance standards) for the given category criteria.

IP24 : Equipped protected from water splashes

Class II : Double insulation.

I - WHERE TO INSTALL THE PANEL HEATER

1) Where to install the panel heater

- This equipment was designed to be installed in a residence.

Please ask your distributor before using it for any other purpose.

- The panel heater should be installed according to normal trade

practice and in compliance with legislation in the relevant country

(the IEE Wiring Regulations).

- Comply with the minimum clearance distances as indicated in

diagram 2 for positioning of the panel heater.

- If your wall covering is laid on foam, a spacer the same thick-

ness as the foam must be placed under the panel heater’s support.

This ensures there is free space behind the panel heater to make

sure its control settings are not adversely affected.

Do not install the panel heater:

In a draught likely to affect the control settings

(under a fan, etc.).

Under a fixed mains power socket.

In volume 1 of bathrooms.

In volume 2 if the controls can be operated

by a person using the shower or the bath.

It is strongly recomended not to install vertical products we manufacture above an altitude of 1000 metres.

If the device is installed at altitude the air discharge temperature will be increased

(by approximately 10°C per 1000 m of altitude).

It is forbiden ti install vertical product in horizontal position.

2) How to install the panel heater ?

2-1) Mount the wall support

1) Description of the control unit :

Mode cursor.

2) Fixing the comfort temperature : 

The comfort temperature is the temperature that you would like while the room is occupied.

a) Set the cursor to ,the light V3 comes on.

b) Adjust knob to 5, the heating light V1 comes on if the ambient temperature is below the required temperature.

c) Wait for a few hours until the temperature stabilizes.

d) If you are happy with the setting (use a thermometer to check if you wish) mark the position once and for all.

Otherwise, modify the setting and return to item c).

Plinth bottom version

2-2 ) Connect the panel heater

- The panel heater must be powered with 220-240V 50Hz

- The panel heater must be connected to the mains by a 3-

wire cable ( Brown= Phase, Blue=Neutral, Black=Pilot wire

) by means of a connection box. In humid areas such as

bathrooms and kitchens the connection box must be

installed at least 25 cm above the floor.

- Earthing is prohibited.

Do not connect the pilot wire ( black ) to earth.

- The heater must be installed by a qualified electrician in

accordance with the local regulations.The heater and the

pilot (black) wire must NOT be connected to earth. If the

heater wire is damaged, he should be replaced by the

manufacturer, his service after sale or a person of similar

qualification to avoid a danger.

If a pilot or piloted panel heater is protected by a 30mA

differential (e.g. bathroom) the pilot wire’s power supply.

Phase = brown PHASE Electricity grid

II - USING THE PANEL HEATER



3) Adjusting the Eco temperature :

This is the required temperature during periods when the room is unoccupied.

It is recommended that this mode should be used if the room is unoccupied for more than 2 hours.

a) Set the cursor to , the light V2 comes on.

b) Adjust thumb-wheel to between 3 and 4 so that the heating indicator light V1 comes on if the room temperature is below

the desired Eco temperature setpoint.

c) Wait for a few hours until the temperature stabilizes.

d) If you are happy with the setting (use a thermometer to check if you wish) mark the position once and for all.

Otherwise, modify the setting and return to item c).

4) Frost free :HG

This mode keeps the temperature at about 7°C in the room when the house is unoccupied for a long period (usually more than

24 hours).

It is possible to lock or limit the range of use of thumb-wheels to and lock selec-

a) Detach the device from its wall bracket.

b) On the back of the thermostat box, detach pins P from their supports.

c) Choose position B to lock the thumb-wheels or position L to limit the range of use

of the thumb-wheels.

Choose one of the positions M to lock the person in the desired mode.

8) Programming mode

This device has a thermostat capable of receiving orders through its pilot wire.

It recognizes the following commands:

- CONFORT (comfort) : Temperature set using the thumb-wheel 

- CONFORT –1 (comfort –1) : Temperature set using the thumb-wheel : -1°C

- CONFORT -2 (comfort –2) : Temperature set using the thumb-wheel : -2°C

- ECO : Temperature set using the thumb-wheel .

- HORS GEL (frost-free) : Room temperature maintained at approximately 7°C

- ARRET (Off) : Immediate stoppage of the device (used for load-shedding).

In this way, by connecting the pilot wire to a timer, you can program your Comfort and Economy temperature periods. It is pos-

sible to connect several devices to one timer and, in this way, make energy savings.

NB:When there is no command given over the pilot wire, the device heats in the Comfort mode. HG and load-shedding com-

mands override the Economy and Comfort modes. On changing from the Comfort mode to the Economy mode, the changeover

time is approximately 12 seconds.

III - RECOMMENCATIONS FOR USE

- There is no point in setting the unit to its maximum, the room temperature will not rise any faster.

- Switch the unit off by putting cursor to

- Remember to lower the temperature if you go out for several hours.

If go out for : less than 2 hours,do not touch the controls.

- If you have several units in the room, let them all operate at the same time, this will give a more uniform temperature without

increasing electricity consumption.

If the unit does not heat:

Check that the programmer is in COMFORT mode.

Make sure that the installation circuit breakers are switched on, or that the load shedder (if you have one) has not switched off

the unit power supply. Check the air temperature in the room.

The unit does not carry out programming orders:

Make sure that the programming unit is being correctly used (refer to its user’s manual) or that the Chronocarte is properly

inserted in its housing and that it is operating normally (batteries?).

The unit is permanently heating:

Make sure that it is not in a draft and that the temperature setting has not been changed.

This unit with electronic control is equipped with a microprocessor that can be disturbed by some severe mains voltage dis-

turbances (outside EC standards defining the disturbance protection level).

If there are any problems (thermostat blocked, etc.) switch off the unit power supply (fuse, circuit breaker, etc.) for about 10

minutes to allow the unit to start again.

Have your energy distributor check your power supply if the phenomenon occurs frequently.

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a service agent or similarly qualified person in order to avoid

a hazard (applies to units fitted with a supply cord and plug).

Units fitted with a three core supply cord (brown, blue & black), must be directly connected to fixed wiring by a

licensed electrician.

All work on the interior of the appliance must be carried out by a licensed electrician.

MAINTENANCE

To maintain performances of your unit, you should clean the upper and lower grilles of the unit about twice a year using a vacuum

cleaner or a brush.

Have a professional check the inside of the unit every five years.

Dirt may collect on the grille of the unit if the atmosphere is polluted. This phenomenon is due to the poor quality of the ambient

air. In this case, it is recommended to check that the room is well ventilated (ventilation, air inlet, etc.), and that the air is clean.

The unit will not be replaced under the guarantee because of this type of dirt.

The unit casing should be cleaned with a damp cloth, never use abrasive products.

WARNINGS

This appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision.

Young children should be supervised to ansure that they do not play with the appliance, lean

against the front or insert objects or paper in it. Do not totally or partially block the grilles on

the front or inside of the appliance, as this may cause overheating.

- This guarantee is applicable for 2 years from the date of original purchase and shall be valid for no more than 30 months from

the date of manufacture.

- Your Atlantic distributor will exchange parts shown to be defective in manufacture.The replacement parts will be free of char-

ge but Atlantic does not accept responsability for freight or labor charges or losses in transit.

- This guaranteeexcludes damage by neglect, shipping or accident and any damage due to incorrect installation, use for purposes

other than those intended or failure to observe the instructions given.
