• Neverpushobjectsorspillliquidofanykindintotheslotsonthe

monitorcabinet.

• Toensuresatisfactoryoperation,usethemonitoronlywithULlisted

computerswhichhaveappropriateconguredreceptaclesmarked

between100-240VAC.

• Ifyouencountertechnicalproblemswiththemonitor,contacta

qualiedservicetechnicianoryourretailer.

• Thesocket-outletshallbeinstalledneartheequipmentandshallbe

easilyaccessible.

Care & Cleaning

• Beforeyouliftorrepositionyourmonitor,itisbettertodisconnectthecables

andpowercord.Followthecorrectliftingtechniqueswhenpositioningthe

monitor.Whenliftingorcarryingthemonitor,grasptheedgesofthemonitor.

Donotliftthedisplaybythestandorthecord.

• Cleaning.Turnyourmonitoroffandunplugthepowercord.Cleanthemonitor

surfacewithalint-free,non-abrasivecloth.Stubbornstainsmayberemoved

withaclothdampenedwithmildcleaner.

• Avoidusingacleanercontainingalcoholoracetone.Useacleanerintended

forusewiththeLCD.Neverspraycleanerdirectlyonthescreen,asitmaydrip

insidethemonitorandcauseanelectricshock.

The following symptoms are normal with the monitor:

• Thescreenmayickerduringtheinitialuseduetothenatureoftheuorescent

light.TurnoffthePowerSwitchandturnitonagaintomakesurethatthe

ickerdisappears.

• Youmayndslightlyunevenbrightnessonthescreendependingonthe

desktoppatternyouuse.

• Whenthesameimageisdisplayedforhours,anafterimageoftheprevious

screenmayremainafterswitchingtheimage.Thescreenwillrecoverslowlyor

youcanturnoffthePowerSwitchforhours.

• Whenthescreenbecomesblackorashes,orcannotworkanymore,contact

yourdealerorservicecentertoxit.Donotrepairthescreenbyyourself!

To assemble the monitor base:

1. Connectthebasewiththemonitor.Aclickindicatesthatthebasehasbeen

connectedsuccessfully.

2. Adjustthemonitortotheanglethatismostcomfortableforyou.

Werecommendthatyoucoverthetablesurfacewithsoftclothtoprevent

damagetothemonitor.

• Automaticallyadjusttheimagetoitsoptimizedposition,clock,and

phasebylongpressingthisbuttonfor2-4seconds(forVGAmodeonly).

• Usethishotkeytoswitchfromsixvideopresetmodes(SceneryMode,

StandardMode,TheaterMode,GameMode,NightViewMode,and

sRGBMode)withSPLENDID™VideoIntelligenceTechnology.

• ExittheOSDmenuorgobacktothepreviousmenuastheOSDmenu

isactive.

2. Button:

• Pressthisbuttontodecreasethevalueofthefunctionselectedormove

tothenextfunction.

• ThisisalsoahotkeyforVolumeadjustment.

3. MENUButton:

• Pressthisbuttontoenter/selecttheicon(function)highlightedwhilethe

OSDmenuisactivated.

4. Button:

• Pressthisbuttontoincreasethevalueofthefunctionselectedormove

tothepreviousfunction.

• ThisisalsoahotkeyforBrightnessadjustment.

5. InputSelectButton:

• UsethishotkeytoswitchfromVGA,DVI,HDMIinputsignals.

Press (InputSelectbutton)todisplayHDMIsignalafteryouconnectcable

with the monitor.

6. PowerButton:

• Pressthisbuttontoturnthemonitoron/off.

ThedetachablestandoftheVH238HSeriesLCDmonitorisspeciallydesignedfor

VESAwallmount.

To detach the arm/stand:

1. Removethearmcover.

2. Havethefrontofthemonitorfacedownonatable.

3. Useascrewdrivertoremovethethreescrewsonthestandofthemonitoras

thebelowdrawingshows.

4. Detach the arm from the monitor.

• Werecommendthatyoucoverthetablesurfacewithsoftclothtoprevent

damagetothemonitor.

• Holdthestandofthemonitorwhenyouremovethescrews.

• TheVESAwallmountkit(100x100mm)ispurchasedseparately.

• UseonlytheULListedWallMountBracketwithminimumweight/load
