Each DCN-15A is a subscriber switch with 15 bidirectional analog interfaces and al-
lows using analogue call stations as part of DCN digital communication system. Also, avail-
ability of up to 60 discrete programmable bi-directional communication lines in DCN-15A
provides creation of zonal alarm systems (up to eight zones per each channel of the analog
interface). To improve the quality of loudspeaker communication, when working with sub-
scriber equipment, an extended frequency band of audio transmission is used - from 0.3 to
6.8 kHz. DCN-15A is connected to the central exchange of DCN system via the E1 line, for
voice data and signaling transfer between the central exchange and the subscriber equip-
ment. Thus, all communication and control functions of subscriber units are implemented
in the central exchange of DCN system, and DCN-15A subscriber module does not perform
any communication functions without connecting to it.
Incorporated into DCN digital intercom system DCN-15Аprovides the following func-
tion:
−Connection via two-wire analog subscriber interfaces lines up to 15 analog
subscriber equipment of simplex communication, having up to eight keys / keys
for calling other subscribers of the communication system;
−Connection to the central exchange of DCN communication system and to
other DCN-15A via E1, a two-way simplex connection between 15 analog sub-
scriber equipment connected to the product and other subscriber equipment of
DCN communication system;
−Monitoring and indication on the front panel the status of subscriber interfac-
es, E1 line, as well as an indication of the status of DCN-15A itself and the integri-
ty of the power supply circuits;
−Connection of FM radio base stations and other loudspeaker equipment to the
analog interface via the gateway equipment manufactured by Armtel: " DCP /
MDK Radio connection gateway", "MDK - "Orekh" Gateway and others;
−Construction of multichannel zonal alarm system (up to 15 channels, maximum
eight zones per channel) with power amplifiers and relays for switching loud-
speakers;
−Connection of up to 8 discrete control lines for each analogue interface, but
not more than 60 for all 15 interfaces (an average of 4 per each), which can be
used as inputs, for example for connecting alarm and automation systems via
"dry contact", for indication on the keys of subscriber units connected to DCN-
15A, or outputs for control of external equipment and connecting relays for
switching alarms and automation equipment.
