Adjusting the grinding level
Coffee can be ground more or less finely depending on the desired grinding level.
The grinding level affects coffee taste as well as the quality of the cream.
The coffee grinding level can be adjusted using the dial for adjusting the grinding level (T), located inside the
coffee beans container (Fig. 19).
A scale marked with the symbols “+” and “-” is placed on the dial for adjusting the grinding level.
The symbols shown on the dial indicate the grinding level, from coarse to fine.
Try changing this parameter to find the coffee taste you like the most.
Warning!
This operation shall be carried out when the appliance is on, while the coffee beans grinding is in pro-
gress, so as to facilitate the rotation of the grinding level adjustment dial.
Never adjust the grinding level if grinding is not ongoing, since the appliance might get damaged.
Only grind coffee beans.
Turn the dial for adjusting the grinding level (T) towards the “+” symbol for a coarse grinding or towards the “-”
symbol for a fine grinding (Fig. 20).
NOTE: the brewing of ground coffee with the desired grinding is not immediate due to the residual
ground powder left inside the duct.
Brew ground coffee for a few times before adjusting the grinding level again.
The grinding level adjustment defines the amount of brewed coffee.
For a good espresso, taste shall have a perfect balance among sweetness, sourness and bitterness. Coffee
taste is based on several factors, such as the kind of coffee beans, the freshness, and the grinding level.
