개INTRODUCTION
Thank you for choosing the EXIMUS S1 Power Amplifier from April Music, Inc.
The EXIMUS S1 is a stereo power amplifier with 125W/CH at 8 ohms of output.
It also can be bridged to mono by a flip of switch to output 500W/CH per unit.
Not only does it provide outstanding musical performance, but it also has a capacity enough to drive most
of the high-end speakers without any problems.
Based on the most advanced ICEpower® Module from B&O, April Music has invested more than 7 years to
achieve the goal of the real high end power out of a small chassis under 7 lb.
The main secret is a special buffer circuitry within S1 which secures the highest musicality and effortless
driving power against any heavy speakers in the market.
Start with one S1 power and enjoy the leading edge technology with ease and full of music.
And add up one more S1 when you are prepared to experience the real high-end world.
You will be surprised with the driving power of S1 but also acknowledge instantly how this small S1’s are
reproducing so higher quality of musical feelings.

주PREPARATION
The S1 voltage is set to 100/117/200/230/240 depending on your local requirement. If you want to
change the voltage, please contact your local April Music retailer.
Turn off the unit if you want to change to Balanced or Unbalanced mode.
Turn off the unit when selecting the Stereo or Bridged Mono mode.
Unbalanced cable is sensitive to environmental noise and we recommend that you use shorter
length. Care must be taken when the S1 is used in bridged mono mode as its power is increased
4 times.
In general, we highly recommend balanced cable connection.
The S1 is designed to be very stable, but the unit may generate some heat after a prolonged
period of operation. Rest assure that this is normal.
S1’s speaker output is designed as balanced + and -. Care should be taken not to touch the chassis
or exposed speaker connectors of touching each other.
On and Off sequence:
Power On : Preamplifier on S1 on
Power Off : S1 off Preamplifier off
Do not remove the cover unless you are a certified technician.
The S1 is designed to exacting standard by applying highly technical tuning and expert listening
test. Your warranty will be void if you tune, modify or change any part of the unit without prior
consent from the manufacture.

주MAIN FEATURES AND CHARACTERISTICS
ICEpower Module from Bang & Olufsen (B&O)
Designed with the latest generation of D-Class amplifier from B&O, the S1 incorporates their core
amplifier technology named COM (Controlled Oscillating Modulator) and MECC (Multivariable
Enhanced Cascade Control). Its unique circuit design and the state of the art semiconductor
technology outclass the performance parameter of AB-Cass amplifier design.
The S1 is custom-designed, full balanced input circuitry which provides stable and superior
performance. When matched with well-designed discrete preamplifiers (like Eximus DP1) or any
high quality tube preamplifiers, the S1 provides a real high-end performance which is far beyond
your expectation.
Stereo to Bridged Mono switch function
Standard S1 as a stereo power, it outputs 125W/Ch at 8 ohms.
Used as monaural amplifier with another S1, the power output will be increased to 500W.
The S1 compact chassis is exactly the same dimensions as the Eximus DP1 (WHD 8.2 x 2.4 x 11.5 in).
You can stack them vertically or place them side by side horizontally at your convenience.
You can use 5 or 7 of S1 to be used as powers of multi-channel home theater application.
The S1 weighs only 7lb. But do not judge the amp by weight. You will be the judge to find out the
hidden secrets of S1!

Connect your preamplifier using Balanced or Unbalanced interconnect.
When connecting the S1 to preamplifier, take care to connect Left input from Left output and Right
input from Right output.
Select the switch located on the rear center to point toward ‘STEREO’.
When using Unbalanced interconnect, ensure that the Left and Right switch is pointing towards
‘UNBAL’.
After ensuring all connection, turn the S1 power on and red LED light will turn on. After 5 seconds,
the amplifier will stabilize and switch to normal operation mode.

동BRIDGED (MONO) CONNECTION
In this mode, the S1 can be used as a monaural amplifier or multi-channel amplifier in 5 or 7
channel applications.
Input connection is located on the rear right labeled ‘L’ (Left).
The switch located on the rear center should be pointing towards ‘BRIDGED’.
Loudspeaker connection should be connected to the ‘Bridged+’ and ‘Bridged-“. Make sure to
connect the + and + and - and - between the amplifier and speaker.
After ensuring all connection, make sure to turn the preamplifier power on first before switching on
the S1.
