INTRODUCTION
CF-POE8isafastuplinkSwitchwhichprovidesyouwithahigh-performance,low-cost,easy-to-
use,seamlessandstandardupgradetoboostyouroldnetworkto1000Mbps.Increasethespeed
ofyournetworkserverandbackboneconnections,makingGigabitconnectiontoaserveroruplink
anetworknecessarily.
ItsPoEportscanautomaticallydetectandsupplypowerwiththoseIEEE802.3af/atcompliantPow-
eredDevices(PD).
Theelectricalpoweristransmittedalongwithdatainonesinglecableallowingyoutoexpandyour
networkwheretherearenopowerlinesoroutlets,whereyouwishtoxdevicessuchasAP,IP
CamerasorIPPhones,etc.
HARDWARE DESCRIPTION
FrontPanel
TheFrontPanelConsistsofEthernetPorts.TheLEDindicatorsarealsolocatedonthepanel.
DIPSwitch
TheDIPswitchislocatedontheleftpanel.
Default:thefactorydefaultmode,allowsnormalcommunicationbetweenports1-10.
VLAN:Ports1-8canbeisolatedtoeachotherbutPorts1-8canconnecttoPorts9&10afteropen
VLANtostopbroadcastStormtoincreaseforwardingrateofframe.
CCTVUpto250mPoEdistanceallows you toexpandyounetworkviaEthernetcable to where
thereisnopowerinoroutletbutwhereyouwanttoxdevicesuchasIPCameras.

Connectthefemaleconnectorofthepowercordhere,andthemaleconnectortotheAC(Alternat-
ingCurrent)poweroutlet.Pleasemakesurethevoltageofthepowersupplymeetstherequire-
mentoftheinputvoltage
Groundingcolumn
Theswitchalreadycomeswithlightningprotectionmechanism.Youcanalsogroundtheswitch
throughthePE(ProtectingEarth)cableofACcordorwithGroundCable.
INSTALLATION OF THE SWITCH
ThispartdescribeshowtoinstallyourEthernetSwitchandmakeconnectionstoit.Pleasefollow
thefollowinginstructionstoavoidincorrectinstallationcausingdevicedamageandsecuritythreat.
● Beforecleaningtheswitch,unplugthepowerplugoftheswitchrst.Donotclean
theswitchwithwetclothorliquid;
● Donotplacetheswitchnearwateroranydamparea.Preventwaterormoisture
fromenteringtheswitchchassis;
● Donotplacetheswitchonanunstablecaseordesk.Theswitchmightbedamaged
severelyincaseofafall;
● Ensureproperventilationoftheequipmentroomandkeeptheventilationventsof
theswitchfreeofobstruction;
● Makesurethattheoperatingvoltageisthesameonelabeledontheswitch;
● Donotopenthechassiswhiletheswitchisoperatingorwhenelectricalhazardsare
presenttoavoidelectricalshocks.
DesktopInstallation
InstalltheSwitchonadesktop,pleaseattachthesecushioningrubberfeetprovidedonthebottom
ateachcorneroftheSwitchincaseoftheexternalvibration.Allowadequatespaceforventilation
betweenthedeviceandtheobjectsaroundit.
Wall-mountedinstallation
FixedtwoscrewonthewallasshowninthegurebelowAimatthetwoxedholeontheswitches,
andplacetheswitchsmoothlyonthescrew
Turn on the switch
PleaseconnecttheACpowercordintotherearoftheswitchandtoanelectricaloutlet(preferably
onethatisgrounded).Whentheswitchispoweron,theLEDindicatorsashmomentarilyforone
second,whichrepresentsaresettingofthesystem.ThePowerLEDindicatorturnsongreen.
Note:Pleaseconrmthevoltageiscorrectbeforepoweron,otherwisetheswitchwillbedamaged.
