This device was designed to offer you the degree of safety expected from personal
protective equipment in accordance with the European Directive 89/686/EEC.
displaying a skull are recommended and covered by the warranty.
Important recommendations:
a) Use of this product is feasible only in combination with other parts of the total
equipment needed. Therefore check carefully whether the product is compatible
with other parts/components of the said equipment. Each of the components
constituting the system ought to have the relevant CE CERTIFICATE.
b) Lifetime of this product will be extended if it is used with care. In particular avoid
rubbing against abrasive surfaces and/or sharp edges.
SAFETY MEASURES AND WARNINGS
a) There are innumerable or even unimaginable possible modes of use of this
device. Only techniques shown in the figures that are not crossed out or
ENGLISH
b)This device must be used exclusively by adequately skilled persons otherwise
the user must be constantly supervised by trained personnel, who must
guarantee for the safety.
This includes liability against damages, injuries and death incurred by improper
use or misuse of the equipment.
c) Do not hesitate to retire the device after a major fall or a major impact. It may
cause internal or invisible damage that may significantly weaken its strength. In
case of uncertainty treat the device as damaged or consult ANTHRON.
d) Regular periodical inspections should be carried out by an authorized person at
least once a year. For this purpose an inspection record should be established
(see the backside of these instructions). Furthermore we would sincerely
recommend one set of equipment is used by one person only as its history of
use is best traced and understood in this way.
e) Reject to use any retired or not regularly inspected devices. These devices
must be destroyed to prevent any further use.
f) Prolonged use in dirty and salty environments (e.g. sea cliffs) may affect the
performance of the product.
g) Do not expose the device to significant heat or cold (see work and stock temp.).
h) Avoid any contact with chemical reagents as they may affect the performance
of this product. Contact the producer if in doubt.
i) In very dirty, muddy or icy conditions performance may be affected.
j) It is essential to assess the reliability and security of the entire safety system
you are relying on (adequate resistance of the anchors and their correct
positioning to arrest a fall and prevent pendulum effects, correct positioning of
the ropes – e.g. protecting sharp edges, redundancy, etc.).
OPERATION OF THE DEVICES
Before and after each use it is essential to check carefully the device and verify its
integrity. Before each use carry out and operational test of the safety system by test-
loading it with your own body weight while secured by other means.

All Anthron's pulleys have rotating side plates. Spread them apart enough to enable
the insertion of the rope (about 90°). Insert the rope, align the side plates back
together and lock them by clipping a carabiner into the clipping hole.

The pulley should hang free of impediment from the carabiner or other obstructions
and should be aligned with the axis of pull. Two carabiners may be clipped into the
clipping hole simultaneously to enable different system setups.

Before relying on a progress capture system always test it and verify that the used
rope clamp is jamming in the correct direction. WARINING: The loading capacity of
the system is reduced to the loading capacity of the rope clamp (4 kN).

Single or doubled, the pulleys may also be used for Tyrolean traverses. Temporary
anchors on traverse line systems may be constructed by connecting additional tow
and back lines into a ring connected to the pulley and by blocking them. The same lines
may be used to move the load along the main load bearing line (Vmax = 10 m/s).
GENERAL INFORMATION
Packing, storage, maintenance and cleaning
Each product is packed with its INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE in a card box. Proper
maintenance and storage are imperative to ensure correct functioning of the
product (as well as all your equipment) and thus your safety.
Clean the product with a brush under running cold water of domestic supply. If the
stains persist, clean it in warm water (maximum 30 °C) with ordinary soap. Then
rinse thoroughly, wipe it with a towel and dry naturally in a shaded ventilated place
away of sources of heat. If needed, lube sparingly the moving parts of a clean device
with silicon based oil.
Temperatures
While it is allowed to use this product within the temperature range from -40 °C to 80
°C, it is advisable to stock it in a dry place at room temperature.
Lifetime and service time
Lifetime of the product is set by the date of production and is theoretically unlimited.
Service time starts with the date of first use and depends on frequency and mode
of application, on the environment where it is used (marine, cave, corrosive
atmosphere), and on mechanical wear and damage. Provided its correct use (in
concordance with these instructions), the service time at average use is expected to
be 7 years.
Guarantee and limitations
This product is guaranteed for 3 years from purchase against any faults in materials
or manufacture. The guarantee does not apply in cases of misuse, normal wear,
unauthorized modifications or alterations, improper use, improper maintenance,
accident, negligence, damage, or if the product is used for a purpose it was not
designed for. If you discover a defect, return the product to the reseller you purchased
the product from or directly to ANTHRON.
ANTHRON is not responsible for the consequences of direct, indirect, accidental
or any other type of damage or injury resulting from the use of its products.

varovalne opreme, in je skladna z evropsko Direktivo 89/686/EGS.
Pomembna priporočila
a) Uporaba tega izdelka je možna le v kombinaciji z drugimi deli celotne potrebne
opreme. Zato pozorno preverite, ali je izdelek združljiv z drugimi
deli/komponentami prej omenjene opreme. Vsaka od komponent, ki
sestavljajo sistem, mora imeti ustrezen CERTIFIKAT CE.
b) Življenjsko dobo izdelka lahko podaljšate, če ga uporabljate skrbno. Zlasti ga ne
drgnite ob grobe površine in/ali ostre robove.
VARNOSTNI UKREPI IN OPOZORILA
a) Obstaja nešteto oziroma celo nepojmljivo veliko možnih načinov uporabe te
naprave. Le tehnike, prikazane v slikah, ki niso prečrtane oziroma pri katerih ni
narisana lobanja, so priporočene in jih krije garancija.

b) To napravo lahko uporabljajo le izurjene osebe, v nasprotnem primeru pa mora
uporabnika vedno spremljati usposobljeno osebje, ki mu na ta način zagotavlja
varnost. To vključuje odgovornost za škodo, poškodbe in smrt, ki nastane zaradi
neustrezne ali nepravilne uporabe opreme.
c) V primeru močnejšega udarca ali preobremenitve je bolje, da zavoljo varnosti
izdelek zavržete, saj lahko povzročita nevidne poškodbe, ki so lahko vzrok za
zmanjšano trdnost izdelka. V primeru negotovosti obravnavajte izdelek kot
poškodovan ali kontaktirajte ANTHRON d.o.o.
d) Pooblaščena oseba mora izdelek pregledati enkrat letno za zagotovitev
brezhibnosti. Za lastno varnost mora uporabnik voditi register pregledov (na
zadnji strani teh navodil). Poleg tega toplo priporočamo, da en komplet opreme
uporablja le ena oseba, ker je mogoče na ta način bolje slediti zgodovini njene
uporabe.
e) Uporaba nepregledanega izdelka ali celo izdelka, ki so ga umaknili iz uporabe, je
strogo prepovedana. Umaknjene izdelke je treba zavoljo varnosti uničiti in s tem
preprečiti nadaljnjo uporabo.
f) Redna uporaba v zelo umazanem, slanem (npr. na morskih klifih) ali kislem okolju
lahko škodno vpliva na delovanje izdelka in njegovo življenjsko dobo.
