This document describes the fitting of the ducted

options and remote thermostat option available for

the Tornado heater.

This instruction is intended for sole purpose of

use as indicated.

The information contained within this instruction

sheet is for use with Ambi-Rad products within the

country of use and in accordance with the rules in

force and by a competent person based on cur-

rent HSE guidelines.

Introduction.

PLEASE READ this document prior to installation

and operation to familiarise yourself with the com-

ponents and any tools you require at the various

stages of assembly.

The manufacturer reserves the right to alter

specifications without prior notice.

This appliance must be installed in accordance

with such regulations as are in force.

This appliance conforms to IP44 of IEC 34-5.

Subject to compliance to clearance distances,

ventilation and flue requirements detailed in these

instructions the heater can be used inside mar-

quees.

Only use in a well ventilated area.

The heater is not for domestic use.

The heater is designed for space heating only.

Do not use the heater in basements or below

ground level.

This appliance is fitted with a hose and regulator.

These instructions must be given to the user.

Observe the cool down period and never handle

the heater when hot.

Never place any objects, particularly combustible

materials on top of the heater and always ensure

that flues are not obstructed.

For your own safety we recommend the use of

personal protective equipment when fitting any of

the options described in this document.

Bend knees when lifting the product via the han-

dles for wheeling.

Options available.

There are four ducting options and a remote

thermostat option available, as follows:

1: Flue duct kit, 5m long, Ambirad part No.

200584.

2: Ducted air kit, 5m long, Ambirad part No.

201847.

3: Air delivery duct kit, 10m long, Ambirad part

No. 201848.

4: Flue duct extension kit, 5m long, Ambirad part

No. 200594.

5: Remote thermostat kit c/w cable and mounting

bracket, Ambirad part No. 200587.

1: Flue duct kit (Fig.1).

Fit flue duct spigot into tube and tighten hose

clip as shown in Fig.2.

Push spigot firmly into flue duct outlet on the

right hand side of the heater as shown in Fig.3.

IMPORTANT: Ensure the heater is switched off

and cooled sufficiently before removing flue

duct after use.

2: Ducted air kit (Fig.4).

Fit air inlet duct spigot into tube and tighten hose

clip as shown in Fig.5.

Push spigot firmly into the air inlet hole on the

left side of the heater as shown in Fig.6.

3: Air delivery duct kit (Fig.7).

Slide the BLACK end of the air delivery duct with

clip over the air outlet of the heater as shown in

Fig.8.

Secure the air delivery duct using the quick

release clip as shown in Fig.9.

IMPORTANT: Ensure the heater is switched off

and cooled sufficiently before removing air deliv-

ery duct after use.

4: Flue duct extension kit (Fig.10).

Fit the coupler into the end of the flue duct and

tighten the hose clip as shown in Fig.11

Fit the extension duct onto the other end of the

coupler and tighten the hose clip as shown in

Fig.12

IMPORTANT: Ensure the heater is switched off

and cooled sufficiently before removing flue

duct extension after use.

5: Remote thermostat kit (Fig.13).

Fig.14 shows the remote thermostat socket and

selector switch on the rear panel of the heater.

Fit the remote thermostat plug into the socket

on the rear panel as shown in Fig.15. The

selector switch should now be moved to the

“remote stat” position. The thermostat can now

be sited and the desired operating temperature

set.
