GENERALINFORMATION:
•Thisheaterissafeforindooruseinsmallrecreational
enclosures,havingmeansforprovidingcombustionair
andventilation,suchasenclosedporches,cabins,
fishinghuts,trailers, tenttrailers, tents,truckcapsand
vans.Itmay beusedfor emergencyindoorheating
whenconnectedtoadisposable1-lb.propanecylinder
andforindooruseincommercialenclosures,having
meansforprovidingcombustionairandventilation,
suchasconstruction trailersortemporary workenclo-
sures.
•Whenthe heater iscoldor atroomtemperature, it will
takea few minutes for the burner tile to turn bright
orange.This isnormalandtheheaterisworking
properly.Ifburnertile is visiblyflaming,turn heater off
andcallaqualifiedservicetechnician.
•Whenthe unit is lit,thereshould be aboutaquarter
inchborderaroundthe tile that will not turn bright
orange.Thisisnormal.
•Whenoperatingthe heater for the firsttime,thetop
areaofthe reflectormaydiscolor.Thisis alsonormal
andisnoreasonforconcern.
•Whenoperatingtheheaterataltitudesover7,000FT.
abovesealevel,theunitmaynot burnas brightas in
loweraltitudes.Thisis normal.At higheraltitudes,the
heatermayshut-off.Ifthishappens,provide freshair,
wait5 minutesand re-light.
•Operatingtime willvary dependingon theheater
settingand thesupplycylinder size.3to 6hours on a1
lb.cylinder. 48to 110hoursona20lb.cylinder(based
on“HI”and “LO” settings).
•Whenmoving heaterwhenlit orbumping heater
settingitdown, tip over switch mayshutoff heater.If
thishappens,re-light.
•Duetohigh temperatures,theapplianceshouldbe
locatedout of trafficandawayfrom combustible
materials.
•Childrenand adultsshould bealertedto thehazard of
highsurfacetemperaturesandshouldstayawayto
avoidburns orclothing ignition.
•Youngchildrenshouldbecarefullysupervisedwhen
theyareneartheappliance.
•Donot placeclothingor otherflammablematerial onor
neartheappliance.
•Donotoperateheaterinanymovingvehicle.
•Thisheatercanonlybeusedinarecreationalor
commercialenclosurewithawindoworroofvent.This
heateris not foroutdooruse.
•Thisheaterrequiresaventareaof9squareinches
(example3” x3”opening)minimumfor adequate
ventilationduring operation.Do notuse otherburning
appliancesinside.

•REGULATORINHEATERMUSTALWAYSBEINPLACE
DURINGOPERATION.
•Anysafetyscreenorguardremovedforservicingthe
appliancemustbereplacedpriortooperating the
heater.
•Theapplianceshouldbeinspectedbeforeeachuse.
Frequentcleaningmayberequired.Thecontrolcom-
partments,burnerandcirculatingairpassagewaysof
theappliancemustbekeptclean,seeMAINTENANCE.
•DONOTusethisheaterifanyparthasbeen under
water.Immediatelycallaqualifiedservicetechnicianto
inspectthe heaterandto replaceanypartofthecontrol
systemandanygascontrol,whichhasbeenunder
water.
•Whenusedwithoutadequatecombustionandventila-
tionair,thisheatermaygiveoffexcessiveCARBON
MONOXIDE,anodorless,poisonousgas.
•Somepeople-pregnantwomen,personswithheartor
lungdisease,anemia, thoseundertheinfluenceof
alcohol,those athigh altitudes- aremoreaffectedby
carbonmonoxidethanothers.
•Whenheaterisplacedon theground,makesurethe
groundislevelandkeepanyobjectsatleast24inches
fromthefrontoftheheater.THISHEATERISEQUIPPED
WITHATIPOVERSWITCHTHATWILLSHUTTHE
HEATEROFFIFTHEHEATERTIPSOVERHOWEVER,DO
NOTLEAVEHEATERUNATTENDEDORWHERECHIL-
DRENMAYCAUSETHEHEATERTOTIPOVER.NEVER
