DESCRIPTION
UtilitypumpModels7531-4and7531-A4areofthe
hand-operated,lever-actiontype.
Model 7531-4 is designed to accommodate a 35 lb.
bucket.Model 7531-A4 operatesfrom a 20kg
container. See Figure 1.
Applicationof these units eliminateshand and paddle
fillingmethods,thuskeepinglubricantcleanandfree
ofanycontaminationwhenbeingapplied.
Thehigh-pressurepumpprovidesamplepressureto
lubricateclose-fittedbearings.Lubricantdeliveryisone
ounce(28.4 gms)perfivestrokes. Thedynamicprimer
aids priming in cold weather and enables the pump to
handleheaviergreasesmorereadily.Allpressuregun
lubricantscanbeused.Thefollowerplatepreventsany
channelingoflubricant.
Each unit is equipped with a cover, follower plate, six
foot(1.8m)lubricanthose,andhydrauliccoupler.The
couplerprovides a quick, leak-proofcontactwiththe
hydraulicfittingand allows awidesealing angle
connection.

secure with cap screws 77787 and hex nuts 77650.
2. Align link 328253-1 with holes in stud 338389 and
securewithpin339961-1andtworetainingrings

3.Align lever 314552 with pinhole in piston rod and
securewithnut77650,screw170699,and
lockwashers77002.

INSTALLATION
To install pump, use Figures 2, 3, and 4 as reference
andproceedasfollows:
1.Placefollowerplate337665or328238-A4on
lubricantsurface in lubricant pail andpress down until
lubricantisforcedintocenteropeningoffollower.This
willremove any airpockets.
2.Insertpumptube through the centeropeningofthe
followerplate.SecurewithJ-bolts317102andwing
nuts170837intobracketsoncover337729whencover
is seated on pail.
3.Screw five-foot(1.5m)lubricanthose withhydraulic
couplerinto3/8"lubricant-outletcheckvalve317210.

OPERATION
Tooperate pump,proceed as follows using Figure 2:
1.Connecthydrauliccoupler308730-Awithlubricant
hoseassembly317853-5to fitting.
CAUTION:Donotpointdispensingdeviceatoneself
orany otherperson;accidentaldischargeof pressure
will result in serious injury.
2.Work lever 314552upand down untilfluid emits
fromhydrauliccouplerandlubricatesfitting.
MAINTENANCE
Dothefollowingperiodically:
1.Check for sufficientlubricant in container.
2. Inspect lubricant hose and coupler assembly.
3. Wipe hydraulic coupler clean of any lubricant after
everyuse.
4.Flushpumpcleanwithappropriatesolventto
dislodgeanyforeign material orexcesslubricant.
