lifting.Cleanburnerbasketwitha cloth,particu-
larlytheflange atthetop.Whenreplacingmake
sureitiscorrectlyinposition.Alwayscleanwick
withthewickcleanerprovidedNEVERUSE
SCISSORS,RAZORBLADES,ETC.
Havingcleanedthewick,checkthatthereisno
fluff ordirtintheburnerbasket,theflame
spreader,orinthegapatthebottomofthe
chimney.Cleanthesepartswhennecessary; if
theholesbecomeblockedtheburnermaynot
functionproperly.Aswithailoilburnersitmust
bekeptCLEAN.Theflame spreaderandburner
basketarerustproofandmaybewashedinwarm
soapywater,bothbeingremovedforthispur-
pose.Neitherthewicknorthetankmustbe
washedwithwater;thetankshouldberinsedout
occasionallywithCLEANkerosine(parafïin).
Afterwashing,makesuretheburnerisdrybefore
replacing.Avoidcontactwithdirectheat.

sothattheLOWESTpartoftheburningedgeiL
islevelwiththeburnerbasketflange. LighttheRE-fHAR
wick,closethetopoftheheaterandallowittoIXt'vnHIi
burndry.Donotblowitout.Thewickmust^ WICK
nowbereshapedexactlyasincleaning.After
thisopérationthetankmustbefilled andthe
wickallowedtosoakforatleastanhourbefore
lighting.Anunpleasantsmellwillbegivenoff
duringre-charring.
