3.1.2 Connecting the mains power supply /
Charging the battery
Note
The hair clipper heats up slightly during charging.
Note
Before first time use, the hair clipper should be charged
for at least 5 hours.
Note
The battery reaches its best capacity after 3 to 5 charg-
ing cycles.
¾Plug mains power supply 11 into mains socket.
¾Plug mains power supply 11 into DC socket 4of
hair clipper.
The power indicator flashes while charging.
3.2 After using the hair clipper
Note
The blade set has the best cutting performance when it
is cleaned and lubricated after usage.
¾Unplug the mains power supply from the mains
socket and the DC socket 4when not charging or
using the hair clipper.
¾Allow the product to cool down to room tempera-
ture.
¾Use the cleaning brush to remove any hair left on
the blade.
¾Lubricate blade ever so often, see Chapter 3.2.1.
¾Check the product for any damage, abnormal run-
ning noise, overheating or excessive vibration.
¾Inspect the blade for broken, damaged or blunt
cutting edges.
¾Set aside the product if it is damaged.
3.2.1 Lubricating the blade set
¾Push hinge to release blade set.
¾Gently pull blade set forward and slide it off he
blade hinge. Make sure that the blade doesn’t fall
on the floor.
¾Wipe the surface between the blades with a dry,
lint-free cloth.
¾Place 2 to 3 drops of lubricant between upper and
lower blade and in the guide of the tension spring.
¾Slide the blade set onto the blade hinge.
¾With the clipper turned on, push the blade set
towards the hair clipper to lock the blade set into
position.
CAUTION
Loss of capacity/performance due
to prolonged storage of hair clip-
per with discharged batteries!
¾Store hair clipper only in fully
charged condition.
¾Charge the hair clipper twice
every 2 months.
