INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing “ProJet® Cart Station. We pride ourselves in our ability to offer customers three dimensional printing
solutions. The 3D System team is condent your system will provide many years of service.
ABOUT THIS GUIDE
• Safety: Read prior to handling VisiJet® Materials or operating the printer. The safety sections inform you of handling the
material properly and avoid damage and injury when operating the printer. For more detailed material safety information,
refer to VisiJet® Material Handling Guide.

Safety Guidelines
• Before using the printer and cart station, your company should have a safety program in place. The safety pro-
gram should:
• Label and point out hazardous equipment, materials, and procedures.
• Explain what to do in case of an emergency.
• Provide information about hazards of equipment and materials in the form of Material Safety Data Sheets or
Safety Data Sheet (MSDS / SDS). The MSDS / SDS are provided with all materials supplied by 3D Systems.
• Read and follow all station instructions.
• Follow all safety rules and heed all cautions and warnings in this guide.
• Do not use any material without reviewing the Material Safety Data Sheets/Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS).
• Do not attempt to access, service, or adjust Cart Station components. Do not attempt to perform any mainte-
nance procedures unless specically trained to do so.
• Certied service personnel are those who completed the 3D Systems service training package and certied
to perform service tasks. Certication may occur at different levels, and service providers should only perform
tasks they are authorized and certied to complete.
• Disconnect the Umbilical cable before cleaning the cart or material cart.
• Do not remove any cart panels in an attempt to add or remove material.
• Do not energize the Cart Station if the Umbilical has been pinched or damaged.
• To prevent potential skin-irritation and sensitization due to contact with waste material, follow all guidelines
within Build Material Safety.
• Do not operate the Cart Station if the cart is:
• Being serviced
• Missing any protective panels
• Missing any hoses or hose ttings
Electrical Shock Hazard: High voltage electricity is accessible in the vicinity of this sign or behind the access
panel. High voltage can cause severe burns or death. Access panels are for service only and should be opened
only by certied service personnel or trained maintenance personnel.
Harmful Irritant Warning: Indicates that skin or eye irritation could result while exposed to a chemical composition.
Caution: Indicates something may happen that could cause loss of data, damage to equipment, or personal injury
Wear gloves when handling uncured VisiJet® build material.

Cart Station User Interface
When pressed, station will stop running.
Used for different purposes depends of the current state:
• To cancel current routine and get back to the main menu.
If cancel used during “Settings setup” sequence at ANY
time - it will restore system settings saved into the buffer
before begging of the whole sequence.
• Reboot if system in the “HOLD” state.
• Access to “Service” screen (only from Main menu - press
and hold for 5 Sec).
Accept the set value and move to the next screen.

FAMILIARIZATION
This Cart Station, (PN: 284107-00) is a wall or table mounted power supply to provide power to the material cart that is sup-
plied with the ProJet® 6000 / 7000. If the cart is removed from the printer, it can be connected to the Cart Station instead.
Once connected to the Cart Station, the cart will perform the following:
1. Pump material from the print tray to the cart until the tray is empty or the cart is full.
2. Heat the material to the proper temperature.
3. Stir the material at xed time intervals to keep the material homogeneous.
Each Cart Station will maintain one material cart. 3D Systems recommends proper material storage, as this is an important
factor of achieving the ne details and reliable material properties that the ProJet 6000/7000 can provide.

If you choose to mount your station to the wall, the table mount
bracket attached to the cart station will need to be removed.
Required Tools: (not supplied): #1 Phillips head Screwdriver,
5mm Allen Wrench, T20 Torx plus driver
• Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen the three (3) thumb-
screws and open front panel.

• Using a T-20 torx plus driver, remove the two (2) m4 x10 torx screws securing the bottom of station to the table-
mount bracket. Loosen the two top screws and slide the station to clear the keyholes in stations. Lift station from
bracket and retain screws.

• Using a T-20, remove the two torx plus screws securing the umbilical holder to the table mount bracket. Retain screws
incase you may want to mount cart to a table in the future.

If you choose to mount your station to the wall, It is important to follow these steps to ensure that the station is mounted correctly
and the umbilical is in reach to the material cart without it being stressed.
Required Tools: (not supplied): Measuring Tape; Pencil for tick mark; Template that is supplied in this guide; #2 Phillips screw-
driver
• The Cart Station should be mounted so that a grounded wall 100-240 VAC / 50-60 Hertz, 15 amp receptacle is within reach of
the power cord. Before powering on the station, the grounding terminal connection to earth ground should be veried.

• Using a 5mm Allen wrench, remove the two M6 screws from the bottom left corner of cart.
• Orient holder as shown and align holder holes to the screw holes at the bottom left corner of station. Install umbilical
holder using the two M6 screws that were removed to secure umbilical holder to the cart station.
• Using a measuring tape, measure a height of 42” from
the oor and up the wall; add a tick mark on the wall
indicating where the bottom of the station will be.
• Measure a height of cm (11”) from the tick mark and
up the wall; add another tick mark indicating where the
station’s two mounting keyholes will be.
• Measure a height of 11.03” (280.2 mm) and the width
of 7.48” (190 mm) from the screw holes center points to
the center point of keyholes. Add tick marks indicating
where the station’s mounting points will be.

WALL MOUNT INSTALLATION
• Install four anchors into the marked hole locations; the anchors should be ush
to the wall.
• Install two screws to the two top anchors. Leave a little gap between the anchor
and screw to install station.
Required Tools & Fasteners (not supplied): Phillips Screwdriver; Four (4) 6mm or 1/4” screws Anchors (anchors depend on

• Install station’s two upper keyholes (backside of station) onto the two upper screws.
• Turn the three thumbscrews counterclockwise to unlock the front cover and open cover.

• Align the stations’s two bottom holes to the two bottom pilot holes in wall and install two screws. Tighten
the upper and lower screws securely.
