OVERVIEW
The LRF range is designed to deliver a variety of highly accurate distance measurements with the
press of a button. It has been ergonomically constructed to t comfortably in your hand with easy
access to both of the mode control buttons.
Its range nding capabilities include: distance, height, height difference and angle. The LRF requires a
3V CR2 battery and will automatically turn off after 15 seconds of no operation to save power.
The LRF has been manufactured with an eye safe CE approved laser and can be used in shooting,
archery, golf, construction, site survey and a many other tasks.

BATTERY INSTALLATION
The LRF requires a 3V CR2 battery.
Unscrew the battery cover (using the lanyard key if needed). Insert the battery negative end rst
and then screw the battery cover back in place.
Turn the LRF on by pressing the power button, the screen will now display various information if
the battery is inserted correctly and has sufcient power.
FOCUSING
1. Look through the laser range nder at a stationary object in the distance.
2. Adjust the diopter focus ring until the eld of view becomes sharp.

DISPLAY ICONS
1. Aim point with horizontal and vertical guides.
2. Distance measurement displayed with 3 digits.
3. Units - “MS” meters, “DEGS” degrees or “YDS” yards.
4. Modes - “BEELINE”, “HIGH”, “∆HIGH” or “ANGLE”.
5. Laser quality - 6 bars or more required for a reading.
6. “LASER” ashes when the laser is in operation.
7. “BATT” displays when the battery power is low.
OPERATION
1. Adjust the diopter setting to get a clear image for your eyesight.
2. When turned on the range nder will start in the same mode it was in when last used.
3. To cycle through the modes simply press the MODE button until you come to the setting you
desire.
4. Simply press the ON button to laze the target you are aiming at.
5. The signal strength is displayed beneath the aim point. A minimum of 6 bars is needed to operate,
10 bars is the maximum strength.
6. The Hawke Laser Range Finder will automatically turn off when not used for 15 seconds.

STANDARD MODE
Standard mode measures the straight line
distance to the target you are aiming at.
When there is nothing displayed to the left of
the distance you are in standard mode.
If you hold the ON button while in standard
mode the range nder will continuously scan so
you can move around and get constant updates
of the distance.
BEELINE MODE “BEELINE”
Beeline mode measures the horizontal distance
to a target.
If you hold the ON button while in beeline
mode the range nder will continuously scan so
you can move around and get constant updates of the horizontal distance.

HEIGHT MODE “HIGH”
Height mode measures how high the target is
in relation to the range nder.
If you hold the ON button while in height
mode the range nder will continuously scan so
you can move around and get constant updates of the height.
ANGLE MODE “ANGLE”
Angle mode measures the angle of projection.
It will be measured to the nearest half a degree.
When aiming downhill a minus symbol will
appear to the left of the angle display.
The angle mode can be set to continuously scan the angle while moving the range nder around.
To do this you must turn the range nder on, set the mode to angle and then press the ON button
while aiming at something that is too close to measure, e.g. the oor. Then when you move away
the range nder will continue to measure the angle of the target you are aiming at.

HEIGHT DIFFERENCE MODE
“∆HIGH”
Height difference mode measures the vertical
distance between two points. H1 will be
displayed rst, this is the rst point that is to be
measured from. Press the ON button and laze
this point.The height in relation to the range
nder will be displayed briey.
Then when H2 appears on the display aim at the second point that you are measuring to and press
the ON button. The height of the second aim point in relation to the range nder will be displayed
briey. Then ∆HIGH will be displayed. To the right of this you will see the difference in heights
between H1 and H2.
UNITS OF MEASUREMENT
The Hawke Laser Range Finder series can measure in meters or yards. To change between the two
hold the MODE button for 3 seconds.
When in angle mode the Laser Range Finder will measure in degrees.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• The LRF should only be repaired by a qualied professional. Do not attempt to disassemble or
repair the LRF as this will invalidate the warranty.
• Do not hold the ON and MODE buttons together.
• Always insert battery “-” side rst. Do not invert.
• When cleaning the lens, only use the cloth supplied or a soft, lintless cloth.
• Inspect the battery regularly for any signs of degradation and replace if necessary.
• Remove the battery if the LRF is not in use for long periods of time.
• Always store the LRF in a cool and dry environment.
• Keep the LRF in its carry case when not in use.
• Operating temperature: -20ºC to 40ºC.

Subject to the limitations noted below, Hawke guarantees this product to be free of defects in
materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the original owner. (The warranty is legally limited
to 10 years within Europe.) If your Hawke product is found to have defects in materials or
workmanship, we will repair or, if repair is not possible, replace the product with an equivalent.
The warranty does not cover failure caused by abuse or excessive wear and tear even within the
warranty period.
